Overwinter Coffee - Elmwood Village — Restaurant in Buffalo

It's got a very nice view of Elmwood. I went on Tuesday and got half off my dining companion's drink. It's a cozy space and feels authentic, but I'm not sure I will go back because the tables are set up in a strange way. We had to be uncomfortably close to this family sitting on the couch, but honestly it was kind of pleasant to hear their conversation, although also quite obvious that they could hear ours. Also the barista wasn't especially friendly. There was no added benefit from the staff. Anyway, it is a good shop but I wonder what it could do to attract customers. Maybe tango lessons? Or a book club? It needs some more community or it won't last. Hope it reinvents and does hold...

I've been here before but recently started coming here every Sunday afternoon as my go-to spot. For one they charge fair prices for coffee. I'm a simple woman, I always order a small black iced coffee with simple syrup and love that the coffee remains strong with ice in it. It's at a great location, the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. It's always clean, the prices are great. The last thing I really, really appreciate is the choice of music and that it is never too loud. I was able to stop in while I was in the area running errands, it was my first time at this location. I learned about their secret menu options which are printed on the back of the menu. The secret items are a bunch of delicious and unique seasonal flavored syrups. I tried to salted caramel pumpkin in a coconut milk latte.
