Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Burlington (Elon), NC — Hotel in Burlington

Ah Country Inn & Suites (by Raddison) Burlington, NC. I can say that I really know this hotel well. This is my 4th stay at this hotel in the last 4 weeks,with another stay scheduled. First off is the staff; they have all been very friendly and helpful. Usually, quick check-ins and quick checkouts with the normal pleasantries exchanged. As for the rooms, well, they are always very clean and quite spacious for the cost. Equip with 2 newer 40-42" LG LED TVs with 2 HDMI inputs for your Fire, Roku, Chrome devices or gaming consoles. Spectrum cable and free WiFi that tested 75mpbs down and 95mbps down with a full house of guests. That's impressive. The beds are extremely comfortable...I couldn't find the label but I believe they may be a pillow top series from Serta. The towels are moderately scratchy and i love scratchy towels. Each room has a couch, desk, comfy chair, iron and board, mini fridge, and microwave. Breakfast is great whether you are a kid, an adult, a vegan, or a vegetarian there will be something good for you to eat. Maybe not a wide variety of choices for the vegans and vegetarians, but you're used to that. I know this is really more like a 3.5-star hotel in hotel stars ratings, but hey its not bad for the price, the location is convenient, and you can't do half stars with Google...

As soon as I walked in the front doors, I look to my left and all I see are gigantic, patriotic banners hanging in front of the dining area. I wondered if I was missing something…🤔American flag stuff everywhere is not a good, professional look, and makes the hotel look tacky. As we checked in with the front desk attendant, I had asked a question about the area, and instead was told about her life story, how both of her parents died of cancer, and on and on. To be quite frank, having a hotel staff member share personal details about their life is unprofessional and just annoying. I don’t mind short pleasantries, but I’m a guest, not a pal. Anyway, the room left much to be desired. The bed was ok, except that when you wanted to close the door, you had to lift up the corner of the mattress because otherwise, the door won’t close! At night you hear the cars whizzing by on the highway, ALL night. The toilet isn’t even sealed to the ground; when you sit down, the WHOLE THING moves. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom…I don’t even know what to say about those…just bad. That whole place needs a complete overhaul, from top to bottom. If I could leave less than one star, I would. I came here to celebrate my grandsons first birthday. When we arrived, the tv wasn't working. I explained to the manager she said it was a spectrum matter and suggested I call them to figure it out. Wait.....what???? I'm staying in your establishment that's your job!! They then proceeded to call the police. They came and left saying this is a civil matter and encouraged me to follow up In small claims court. I've lived in 6 states, traveled in 42, and been to 6 countries. Never ever in my life have I ever had the police called on me in a hotel. Here is the picture of the culprit. I will never stay here again. "Update to response" I had just checked in nobody rang my room. Your employee was behind glass, hence the picture. And she never asked me to leave the desk instead she told me she was calling the police as a threat. Review the cameras I suggest I pointed at them while I was speaking. Hope they have audio.
