I went in the Burlington NC store this morning for the Sale and the item I wanted was not even there needless to say there were a few upset women ahead of me. The sales associates were more than helpful trying to find out is they could find the item at any other store or even order them for us. They even found a number to gives for a store that had them (but was too far away) but said they could ship them. She asked us to call right then since the sale was on and they may have been getting sold right then. No one would answer, so some ladies ask for the manager who was more than apologetic bit could help but explained they had been sold the previous day at $49 dollars, but for today they were $29 and advertised only for today from 8-11am. But there were none. Why do you advertise something that's not there? I was told that they advertise until their all gone?? But this means every Belk in the US!! I think you need to adjust your advertising per store because those sales associates were concerned for their well being with a few of the customers and that should not be part of their job. Worry about if their going to be cussed at or jumped. In the end I kept circling the area hoping maybe the item I was looking for would appear from oversight and low and behold the display appeared. I quickly put it in my cart and waited for the crowd to clear so I could ask if I could purchase it. As I waited one of the SA came over and said she just wanted to look around she just had a feeling I showed her what I found and where. ( Mind you were both looking around out of fear) and she looked under a skirt on a table and their they were 5 in total in boxes. Hallelujah She gave me one and one older lady was still waiting and she was delighted and purchased 2. The ugly people had left so they missed out. I was happy!!! Read moreOverly annoyed with Belk as a company. I ordered a dress 2 weeks ago as well as a suit while shopping at bells in Alamance Crossing. The orders are for 2 people in my wedding. 2 separate transactions ordered on the same day. After not receiving either I decided to give customer service a call. I found out the suit was out of stock so they never sent it (or notified me about the change). The dress was sent but the person who took my order in the store messed up my address so it was sent back(still never notified about the change). After talking to customer service they had both items in stock and agreed to resend them. I got the email confirmation and they charged me $50+ from what I originally spent... If anyone working in shoes.she curtly informed me that all shoes were out and I was to help myself. I told her that I needed someone to help me. She said she would help me. After waiting app. 10 minutes she came over. She was no help at all. Finally she just walked away and left me. While she was there I told her that I would probably just go some place else maybe Dillard's. She said that they sell shoes.
