I have eaten at Mayflower MANY MANY times, and I have always had great service and great food. That's why I gave them 3 stars. Based solely on tonight's visit, they might have gotten just one star. Tonight, my hubby and I ate at Mayflower, and were very disappointed! The waitress took our order, which in addition to our regular meal, we also ordered cheese sticks. We waited about 5 minutes, to get our cheese sticks. We ate all the cheese sticks and waited at least 20 minutes longer, before the waitress brought our food. When she set the food down, she made the comment that she passed by the grill and saw our plates slid over to the side! Maybe if she had checked on our order, in a timely manner, the cook would not have slid it to the side. The chicken and hush puppies I ordered were room temperature, at best. When the waitress brought our food, I placed a to go order. Hubby and I finished our meal and waited to be asked if we wanted to go boxes. She never came to our table, after bringing the food! I had to ask a bus boy for some extra napkins. We got tired of waiting for our waitress to check on us, so I found the "to go" boxes, myself and we put the remains of our meal into the boxes. Hubby never got a refill on his tea. Not sure if our to go order was ready or not, we proceeded to check out. There was the "to go" order, sitting on the counter. We were never told that it was ready. I always leave a tip, but rest assured, this time the tip was cut in half! I let the cashier know that this was the worst service I have ever received at Mayflower! If I go back, I WILL NOT allow this waitress to wait on me. The Hispanic man who awnsered the phone on these two occasions made it clear he wouldn't take our order by phone for any reason. So after the phone conversation about ordering we went in person to the to go side. The Hispanic gentleman with glasses and short black hair he's very young i was there on Thursday of last week there was a elderly black in front of me she ask forvthe rest of her order he didn't get for her as he walked off he started making racist remarks about this lady. I heard his remarks. He would not at any time take my order on the phone or at the to go counter. He refuses to take any orders from white's. Some Hispanic gentleman came in behind me as ibwas still waiting at the counter in front of him trying to place my to go order he called the Hispanic gentleman up there and took there order i stood there for more than 20 minutes. He was for the Hispanic customers only. The black lady helping him only wanted to help certain people. She had an awful mouth and attitude towards any white's who tried to order. Both of these employees should be FIRED at once. I see why mayflower seafood is dead all the time now. I ask for manager that same day they wouldn't even get the manager. Read moreDo not eat here if you have any kind of concerns about the pandemic at all. . My husband and I went as they are normally not busy. We came and there is a large party and a small party. No one in the restaurant is wearing a mask. We ask to be seated away from the parties and we're told even though the entire other two sides of the restaurant were empty. We were then seated between both parties, and the hostess sat the table behind us and beside us next filling our entire section, still two entire parts of the restaurant empty. Extremely upset, to mention since the waitress couldn't hear me she kept getting into my masked face. 40 minutes later and I am not even exaggerating we have to ask for our still not arrived for to go. The entire middle part o the restaurant was sat while two other areas were totally empty. There cocktail and tartar space was dirty and in large bottles obviously not cleaned between tables. We never even got to eat before having to leave tip included as I don't not tip. We had to ask for to go drinks and it was obvious the person. Working there had a problem with our request to be seated away from others. She literally sat every type next to ours within 10 minutes.
