Listen, you managers need to re-train your waitresses/waiters on how to properly bring a soda refill. $3 is a steep price to pay for a soda. When our glasses of soda sit and get flat and watery, which happens in a matter of minutes, and we ask for a refill, do you think we want our waitress pouring new soda into our old cups? That’s disgusting!!! The last 3 times we’ve ate here that’s exactly what happened. It blows my mind. Each time we asked for a soda refill, instead of bringing us a new glass of fresh soda, the lazy waitress instead always brings a glass of soda without any ice, and WITHOUT our permission, pours the new soda into our old glasses, mixing fresh new soda with old flat soda that has gotten watery with the melted ice. We don’t pay $3 a cup for flat soda! Who trained these people to be so disgusting and disrespectful? Not only is it insane to expect a paying customer to drink flat watery soda mixed with new iceless soda, but to just reach across our table and pour new soda into our old soda without our permission, just irritates me! All the waitresses here do this, so that tells me they weren’t properly trained!! You’re supposed to bring a new glass of fresh soda with fresh ice each refill!! You don’t bring a glass of fresh soda with no ice and expect a customer to mix it into their old flat drink that has watered down with melted ice! What’s wrong with u people? Learn some etiquette!! I also noticed they do the same thing with tea. When people get tea refills, they use a glass pitcher of tea filled with melting ice, that has no lid, and they go around pouring it into customer’s already used glasses. Listen, not only does all that ice melt in that glass pitcher, causing the tea to be watered down & tasteless, but also, that glass pitcher has no lid on it, it sits at the station uncovered &then the waitresses carry it around & germs and dust in the air are certain to get inside! That’s a health hazard!! Nobody wants watered down tea that’s been sitting in an uncovered glass pitcher with nasty melting ice. You guys cut too many corners & are lazy. Bring a new glass of fresh tea, and bring a new glass of fresh soda filled with fresh ice. How hard is that? We’ve been here many times ¬hing ever changes. Time to...
Read moreWe came in this evening to be greeted by the majority of the restaurant reserved. No signs on the door about a couple big groups coming in and nobody bothered to tell us until someone tried to seat our family of 7 in a little bitty booth, after saying that wouldn’t work the fellow that had our tray of drinks just stood there and looked around clueless. A waitress asked what the problem was and I told them we needed a bigger table, she asked the fellow with our tray of drinks if he explained the situation to us which he replied “yes” and I will quickly said “no nothing was explained to us”. After being told the situation the waitress went to drop off some dirty dishes and said she would be right back to help us find a spot. We stood around like idiots for a few minutes before another waiter finally seated us at a reserved area table. I then explained that we could not quarentee we would be done eating by 6:30 ( the time when the parties were to arrive) at which point the waiter seem stressed out so I asked if we could just be refunded and we would go somewhere else. The manager was called over and we discussed the situation and that we did not want to feel rushed or be kicked out when the parties arrived if we were not finished eating. We were reassured that we would not feel rushed or be kicked out so we stay. However the waitstaff was absolutely horrible at assisting us, after agreeing to stay we were never greeted by our waiter/waitress, so I had to stop som one to get 2 chocolate milks for 2 of our children, we then had to wait several minutes for drink refills as it seemed tha parties that arrived tended to be top priority. I had my plate taken from me without asking if I was finished with it (I was not). All in all it was a horrible experience and even though the manager tried to make it seem like just because it was $0.99 kids night that we didn’t have much of a reason to complain, we probably have will not be back for awhile. A current paying customer should not be made to feel rushed or like an inconvenience over...
Read moreI love the breakfast buffet! The scrambled eggs are just like the otta be, not too dry but not too runny and very fluffy! The sausage links are juicy, the hash browns are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the sausage gravy is thick and chock-full of sausage bits and don't forget the yeast rolls! They are warm, soft and as far as I'm concerned butter is optional. For those who aren't fond of breakfast they serve the regular menu, including the grill. Steaks are hit and miss so I skip the grill but my hubby swears by it. My favorite part? Dessert is available! The bread pudding is warm and moist with a creamy pudding mixed in and a hint of cinnamon. It's not your classic bread pudding but the flavor is awesome. The banana pudding is delicious! Lots of cream, pudding, cookies...and of course bananas. I've been to the breakfast buffet several times but the last time, about a week or so ago, I was really disappointed... The eggs were undercooked, the hash browns had a "creamy" texture like something was mixed in that shouldn't have been and were also undercooked, the gravy was so thin it hardly coated the serving spoon; As for the grill, even my hubby had trouble chewing his steak! The sausages and yeast rolls were spared and tasted just as good but the worst part (for me) was dessert: The bread pudding bread was still hard even though it had enough pudding to moisten it and had too much cinnamon. The banana pudding was MIA... Maybe for the best. This all reminded me of when you let the kids ( all under 10) cook Father's day breakfast for the first time and they won't let you help! Hopefully my last experience was just a glitch where everyone in the kitchen was having a bad hair day all at the same time. I will definitely give them...
