Ball and Skein and More — Local services in Cambria

I taught myself how to crochet in October 2023. I mainly crochet amigurumi and purchased the yarn for my projects at the big box store in SLO. I finally decided to try my hand at crocheting a sweater and bought a pattern on Etsy. The big box store never has consistent stock of anything so I knew I had to look elsewhere for yarn. I found Ball and Skein and More on google and the pictures I saw online were incredible. I made a visit in person and it was even better. They have a wide assortment of yarns, both hand dyed and not, notions, etc. I was over the moon. I was greeted but not hovered over (which I enjoy cause I’m an introvert) and when I needed help the ladies provided great input. I wish I had gotten their names. I totally loved this place! I appreciate the wide variety of yarns available, and price points! While I’m trying to move to natural fibers, yarn should be available to everyone whether they can afford fancy wool or not. I also absolutely loved how totally unpretentious the woman was when I was in there. There’s a wonderful display of sample knits that really got me excited. There’s also a great supply of notions available including some amazing project bags! Also have to mention that they are online and do ship which is great! But my absolute favorite part of this store is the giant wall of super bulky! Not enough yarn stores carry a big selection of super bulky yarns but I totally fell in love with this place when I saw all the options. Can’t wait...

Definitely visit if you’re a knitter and in town. I came in wanting to start a knitting project after only ever knitting a scarf and the people who work here are so kind and helpful. They didn’t make me feel stupid for not knowing much, and were really excited for me and knowledgeable, giving great advice.
