I’m completely heartbroken with my experience at Hampton Inn. I had a wedding in Ball Ground, GA and I wanted my guests to stay at the closest hotel if they needed to. Hampton Inn was the closest hotel and I decided to reserve 3 rooms for some out of town guests. I had a lot of troubles making that reservation in the first place. Front desk workers would transfer me to the manager, Joyce Neely, to make a “group/wedding reservation”. She would never pick up her phone or return several of my voicemails. Anyway, after making a reservation with some other department that they transferred me, I didn’t receive any emails with confirmation number or simply confirming that the reservation was received. I made several calls and requests to send me this confirmation email. I wanted to put the address of the hotel on my wedding invitations and I was hesitate to do so since the confirmation wasn’t received. After couple weeks of making that reservation and unsuccessful attempts of getting confirmation, I decided to cancel that reservation to avoid any troubles during my wedding day. I called couple weeks before that reservation was supposed to happen and asked them to cancel it and delete all credit card information that I gave them. I also asked them to send me an email confirming my cancellation. Again, I didn’t receive anything. I called them back , they told me that the reservation is canceled and I’m good to go. Other than a verbal confirmation I didn’t receive anything else. During my honeymoon, I receive 3 charges in total of $450 from Hampton Inn. Since I was overseas, I had to spend money to make an international call to Hampton Inn and clarify the whole situation. I was absolutely heartbroken to be hit with that amount after I spent so much on the wedding and especially since no one even stayed at that hotel. Front desk stuff didn’t want to talk to me at all, and they would transfer me to the manager. Same woman who never picked up my calls in the beginning, didn’t pick up my call that time as well. After leaving several voicemails , I received zero calls back. My family and I always try to stay in Hampton Inn when we travel but after that situation of poor customer service, completely unprofessional stuff and ignoring manager, we will never stay at your chain of hotels ever again. WTH|You mean you have to ask for a clean room to get one.. i had no idea this was a policy since Covid.. which she assured me was true..( I still don’t think it is ) this was July 21) have I been living under a rock ? I’m elderly and use a cane.. I was placing my things on the trolley and having a hard time getting to the elevator.. she got me to the elevator but said she could not help me to my room because she was the only one on duty..which made me wonder where she was when I came in!! She certainly wasn’t at the desk.. I had to yell hello three times to get her to come to desk. |When I got to the room and saw what the condo of it was.. I called the desk and asked if she could send some clean linens up… she couldn’t do that SINCE SHE WAS THR ONLY ONE ON DUTY., I was physically unable to go get them myself. During my 3 days, the cleaning team never went inside my room to clean or refill towels etc. I even called and asked can I get my room cleaned and she was helpful at front desk and said they would come soon. They never came... Main reason though I'm writing this review is how they handled a major health issue. The day I left the hotel I noticed I had received bed bug bites on my body. First time in my life. While I understand sometimes this may happen, I called them and also filled out one of their internal surveys mentioning the bed bugs and my room # to make sure they knew. I really just wanted to make them aware of the issue and need to clean the room I was in thoroughly before another guest arrives. They never called me back or followed up with me which seems extremely odd.
