Belk — Local services in Canton

I had an unpleasant experience and I will never buy makeup or anything from belk again. We scheduled an appointment for my daughter to have her makeup done for a formal. My dad picked her up because I have to work. I made the appointment three days prior. Upon arrival of her app, the lady told her she didn't have one and began to tell here no one had called. she arrived 10 minutes early. I was very upset and called the canton store. When I spoke to the lady she was very rude and began to tell me she remembered speaking to me but didn't have an appointment ten minutes early and that is why she ask her to leave . It was ten minutes early. She could have ask her to wait. Not cancel the appointment. After being rude to me and my daughter I will never purchase a single item at this location again. I work in customer service and you never disrespect a client. Bad...

Great deals are the biggest reason to go to Belk. Always have some kind of super-door buster-buy 1 get a bunch free sales. clothes are the main draw. The selection is huge but leans towards the country side of fashion for woman. The guys seems to be a cross between a preppy vibe or basic jeans and t-shirts.

Like any department store Belk carries a variety of house hold items. I find their offerings in these areas lacking. Not nearly as broad as over stores.

The biggest problem is how crammed and disorganized the store is, especially the women's section. The racks are all tightly packed and sizes are mixed all up. Kind of hard sometimes to tell where one brand or size, i.e. petite or plus size, begins or ends. Usually a wait for fitting rooms because there aren't that many.

This store seems to be in a constant state of transition and NOT in an improvement kind of way. I have given this place numerous chances to change my opinion but it is really just the worst. This store is pitifully understaffed and very disorganized. After a previous bad experience last year, I tried last week to order a few items online to pick up at the store. The online shopping was easy but when I got to the store to pick the items up, I was told that I would need to go to the Shoe dept to pick up my items (this after waiting patiently in line at the register marked Customer Service). When I got to the Shoe Dept I had to wait for the one sales clerk to finish helping another customer try on shoes, and another that needed to check out.
