Just be aware. As a google local guide and a long time customer at Saigon Paris Bistro, I am wondering if there is a new management at the restaurant? For a long time now, whenever I ordered pho here, I always asked for extra lime, and never was charged extra for the lime. However, today when I ordered Pho and asked for extra lime, $3.00 was put on the tab for the extra lime. I was never informed of this by the waiter. Now I did informed them that they never charge for extra lime before cause I have been eating here many times before and never once was charged extra for the extra lime, so they took the $3.00 extra out of the total. Next thing I noticed is that recently you will be charged extra for paying with Credit Card. Again, I have been customer of Saigon Paris Bistro for a long time now, and never once was charged extra by paying with Credit Card, but today I was charged extra for paying with Credit Card. This is the reason why I asked if there's new management at this establishment because I never got charged extra before for any of these things, but now all of a sudden all these new extra charges appears. I just want to write this review to inform others to be aware that there will be extra charges if paying with credit card or if you asked...
Read moreUpdate: Although we are glad they survived Covid and the food is still excellent here, the service has deteriorated significantly. We were there Sunday (June 13 2021) and David, the waiter, forgot to put in our order. After waiting an hour we checked to see why so long today. This is when the missing order was discovered. So we waited another 20 minutes for our food. And the food was excellent. But there was no real apology and no discount on our bill for the inconvenience of being there 2 hours and having to reorder an hour after we placed the first order.
It has a full French Menu and a full Vietnamese menu. I have never been disappointed by the food - it is just fantastic. I am gradually working my way through the menu. Some of my favorites are the banana leaf wrapped fish and the Vietnamese fresh rolls. And if you have an extra 20 minutes, the baked brie is delicious. It is not a restaurant for a speedy meal - just enjoy a very nice relaxed pace to savor every bite. There is an earlier bird menu in addition to the full menu. And lunch is very reasonable with...
Read moreI’ll sing this place’s praise until the cows come home. This is THE SPOT to get pho! There are other places around but their broths taste so high in sodium. At Saigon you can tell their broths are made with medicinal herbs like anise and clove and ginger and other medicinal aromatics. If I’m coming down with a cold (which I do often, thx stress) I opt for vitamin c and SPB chicken pho cuz the broth always settles my stomach and while it’s piping hot it calms my sinus pressure too. GO HERE!!! I’m not affiliated with them in any way except ordering from here like 2x a month on average, and if I see another good Vietnamese restaurant leave Ft. Myers (RIP Viet Village) I will pull my broken heart out through my nose. Also their steak au poivre is absolutely insane. The steak is tender and mixing the poivre sauce with their mashed potatoes is like heaven. LONG LIVE...
