Camp Chesterfield is a unique and very historic place. Even if you don't attend a class or get a reading, you'll enjoy walking the grounds. They are well maintained, serene and the artwork and statuary there represents all faiths. There are no "tour guides" as such on the grounds, so it's best to do a little homework in order to appreciate the historic nature of the area.
If you do choose to get a reading, there are several spiritualists who live on the campus. The Camp Chesterfield website allows you to contact the psychic of your choice and schedule your reading. Camp Chesterfield also offers Psychic Fairs on the first Saturday of each month, so if you don't want to schedule anything, you can show up and get a short reading for a reasonable price.
There are two things about Camp Chesterfield that can be off-putting. The first is that it is obvious the psychics there have "regulars" (some would call them psychic junkies), and these clients are treated like gold. Passers-by and one-time visitors are treated less graciously.
The second is that even when you schedule an appointment, it isn't uncommon for the psychic to disrespect your time. Once, I had an appointment scheduled and when I arrived, the individual did not answer her door. I could see that her television was on, with the sound up full blast. It was clear that she had no intention of honoring the appointment or even acknowledging my presence. My second experience (with a different person), I arrived on time, knocked, waited five minutes or so, knocked again, waited another five minutes, and then called the person on my cell phone. She answered, and I advised that I was on site for my appointment. She came sauntering around the corner, stating that she had been out for coffee and lost all track of time. For the person who may have to travel some distance and this is the only reason they are in the area, this blasé attitude will make for an unpleasant day. Be sure that you have other things on your agenda so that your visit will...

Took my boyfriend there recently we had a creepy experience.... in the garden of prayer tomb I was always afraid of the back room because it always give me the creeps and we were filming in there and seeing if there was a spirit and we took videos and an orb flew through the room on a video... there was a flashlight on the ground and we put it on the statue of jesus and we said if your here dim the light and it did. In the back room there was a Loud bang and we are still unsure of what it was. We went into the gift shop and the lady in there was very peculiar she wouldn't look in our eyes when she spoke to us. I asked if there was bad spirits and she said there is all different types of spirits some good some bad and she wouldn't really answer our questions.... but over all I love this place cant wait for summer to be...
Read moreA great place to learn about Spiritualism and experience the wonderful teachings offered there. I have been going there for twenty-nine years and enjoy walking the grounds. Some of my very best memories have happened at camp. I love being in the museum and looking at the Bang sisters portraits. There is so much to see in the museum and it is the largest of its kind in the world. The psychic museum in London burned during the second world war. It is quiet and peaceful there with beautiful trees. I was trained and ordained there in 1997 and would recommend those seeking to know more about Spiritualism to attend a weekend workshop. You will meet like minded people...
