Unfortunately, there is not an option for zero stars and that is the current state of this now "furniture" store...no longer is it positioned as a home improvement resale store! The current Manager has made changes to layout, merchandise and prices of which I can no longer support. The purpose of these stores are to help the community not make a name for an individual and with the signs stating the price is what is marked and clearly non-negotiable. The home improvement items have been reduced to 1/3 the space and variety "is considered to be clutter". I use to be able to find pieces and parts that you could not get anywhere else but now all of this is gone with the comment the "manager" is making changes and that was clutter. If you want to pay retail prices with no discount here's your store but if you want to continue to support the true cause go to another county that maintains the Habitat view and practice. For me because of what this now appears to represent namely one person not the community I will no longer donate and have found better quality at 1/2 the price online or at many local flea markets and not have to travel to Chesterfield so even more savings. My last trip after seeing the changes, reading the signs and truly taking the feel of these so called "changes", I put the items I had to searched for back to those new designated areas and decided I will no longer support this business as it no longer holds to the goal and objective of the community but only that of one person out to make a name for herself. I do hope that after ruining a good thing that a needing family will receive that "home" that the signs say this is all about...really? Nothing more I can do other than share how this is viewed and redirect my support elsewhere. The quote from staff, "Change is good"...really?... it isn't any more convincing hearing it as it...
Read moreHabitat for Humanity Restore is the best of all discount shopping venues! You've got garage sale, flea market, antique mall and thrift store all rolled into one retail outlet! Best of all, most of the profits go to support such an excellent cause - affordable housing for struggling humans! I can think of no better cause, because everyone should have a safe place to call home! Each store in the counties, has a different selection of household items, and deeply discounted building materials! I LOVE the paints that I can get there for just a few dollars- I've refurbished several pieces of furniture this way! I can't afford paint at the much more expensive home improvement retail chains! You never know what you're gonna find at a Habitat store, and I love...
Read moreI can’t tell you how much I appreciate this store. Every time I am in this place I see the workers hustling to help the customers, it really is refreshing to see. I am very impressed with their prices and how much they have helped so many people. I wish anyone who had a problem with them would approach one of the workers and discuss it with them and give them a chance to rectify the issue before posting negative things . Many donate their items because they know it’s a good store and it helps those in need and otherwise. I pray blessings on each of you and hope you will check this store out and see...
