Eden Jewelers — Local services in City of Albany

I emailed an inquiry to them about three months back about making a custom ring for my fiancee. I was chatting over email with Andy and showed him my design, wants, and needs for the ring. I had previously been denied by 2 other jewelers because of the stone of choice for the solitare design. I did bring this up to Andy, and he assured me that the design I had created (which did keep in mind the fact that a more fragile stone was being used rather than traditional stones) should absolutely be able to stand the test of time(and i have a few back up stones to reset if need be). He worked with me on all the tiny details that I carefully chose, and brought them to life exactly as I had pictured in my head (my drawing I showed him was a 3rd grade level at best). Andy took the time to also allow me to correct and perfect the design before it was cast and the stone was set, so when I first saw it, I was STUNNED. I feel that there's nothing that needs to be changed! Definitely will be going back to Andy and Eden. They helped when Hannoush wouldn't!! I finally proposed, so...

I stopped into Eden Jewelers at Crossgates Mall needing to get a necklace fixed for my girlfriend as the ring holding the pendant to the chain had been broken. Despite the necklace not being bought there the worker was extremely helpful and offered to fix the broken ring on the spot at no charge, but as the old chain’s ring was very cheap my girlfriend wanted to get a new one just to be safe. The gentleman there got me the ring I needed and once again offered to attach it to the necklace at no charge, and when I went to pay the $10 for the silver ring itself he refused to let me pay. I’ve had a few bad experiences with jewelers in the past of them being very pushy and always trying to upsell you, but the workers here couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful without just trying to make money on me. Needless to say I will 100% keep them in mind for any future jewelry purchases I’ll be making, and I would recommend them to anyone else that is looking to buy or have a piece of...

I stopped in here because the diamond on my engagement ring (purchased elsewhere) was starting to get loose and I was afraid it would fall out. I didn't have an appointment but Alex looked at the ring, saw that the prongs had loosened up, and fixed it for me right away. I was in and out in five minutes and they didn't even charge me! I will definitely come back here. They were so nice!

Edit: I hate to change my review, but the ring felt off after the repair and I finally got a chance to inspect it. While fixing the prongs, he gouged the inside of my ring! It looks like it's where he must have held it with a clamp or something while he worked. I am very appreciative that they fixed the loose stone, and for free, but I would have taken it somewhere else if I'd known they would damage it. I'm not sure this can be fixed without major work and I'm afraid to bring it back there in case they...
