This was by far one of the most unprofessional visits I have ever experienced. When I placed my order at the drive through window the young lady speaking to me was very pleasant however she lacked the patience. When I got to the actual window I realized that I forget to ask for a small dipped cone. As soon as I pulled up to the window she gave me the total. I personally have worked in customer service for over 10 yrs. I am the owner of multiple businesses so I understand from both perspectives how to conduct yourself. I was trained as an employee to always greet customers upon approaching them. As a business owner I train my staff to treat people with respect and to greet them with a smile. This is the standard. After I was given the total I asked if I could please add a small chocolate dipped cone. I was told abruptly no and that nothing could be added at the window. I then asked why and was only provided with a brief answer of”the line is too long”. I then asked if I could speak with the manager. The manager then steps from around the corner and said, ma’am, what can I help you with? She said it with an arrogance and an attitude. I then asked if I could get a small cone. She rudely said to me “no we don’t do add ones. Our drive through line is around the building”. Now at this time, this location is not allowing anyone to enter into the building for service. So I said to her”so you’re telling me that I have to drive all the way around for a small ice cream cone? She said yes. At that moment I paid for my sons ice cream and pulled off. My issue is NOT the fact that I had to drive around. My issue was the attitude and unprofessionalism. It was the overall service and experience at a place that has spent years building a brand and one experience has affected my overall view. The amount of time she spent telling me what should could not do because she chose not to, she could have fixed the small ice cream cone. I’m not sure who is over this location but training is definitely needed. Customer service is key to obtaining your customers especially...
Read moreAfter a long day of International Travel, my family and I landed at Hartsfield International Airport on a Sunday evening. Anyone who's been to this area knows that there's not much going on. Park and Fly lots and some hotels. After all that traveling, I need food for my family and fast. We tried the Ruby Tuesdays. No one was there to seat us after five minutes, so I knew the wait time would be ridiculous if we ever got seated. We left. Then I found this Dairy Queen on Google maps. It was rated 3.9 stars, but it was close by and the kids needed to eat before I started the 2 hours drive to our home. So we went there. The parking lot was empty. The lobby was closed due to staff shortage. It looked like a disaster waiting to happen. However, I took a chance and entered the drive-thru. The staff was patient as our family ordered (because anyone knows that kids don't quickly decide and order) We got around and the staff worked diligently to get our order. Everyone got their food and let me tell you, that first bite into the chicken finger was heavenly. It was freshly cooked and piping hot. Everyone else devoured their meal. The kids said it was the best ice cream ever. Now, this could be that we were in Mexico for 7 days and Dairy Queen is a real shot of American yumminess we needed, but I say that this Dairy Queen location has it going on! Thanks for making dad a hero. We will be back anytime we are flying...
Read moreI go here often, and never once have I had this problem. I understand the chicken strip basket does not come with a drink, so I always ask for one and never get an argument over it. I gladly get a drink all the time. I do not know what it was about today, maybe it was because I went in the afternoon instead of the evening like I normally do, but I asked for the chicken strip basket and asked for a sweet tea with it. I was told there was no sweet tea. So I asked for a coca-cola instead and in return I was told by the lady of Indian descent (I do not know her name, sorry) that if I was to get a drink then I would not be able to get the honey mustard sauce I was getting with the basket. I have never once, from this location or any of the others I have been to around the region, been told that I could not have a drink because they were out of one and I would have to deal without a sauce, that mind you, as far as I know of comes with the meal. I used to like going to this location because it was very close to my house and convenient for me going to other places, but after that experience I do not know if I want to go back, to any location, if that is how policies are. It does not make sense why I have to either get the sauce with no drink (like I ended up getting), or get a drink with no sauce. I am sorry, but thinking about it, I could...
