I had an execrable experience at this Zales. My boyfriend bought be a ring and got the warranty so that I could get it resized for free. The ring came in a standard 7 and I needed to get it changed to a 6.5. After giving my ring to them for a resizing, I was called about 1-2 weeks later saying my ring was ready for pick-up. When I came to retrieve my ring, it looked COMPLETELY different. One of the diamonds had been lowered, the ring was dirty/rusty, and the shine was NOTHING like it was before. The left side of the ring was also clearly MUCH darker than the other side and much darker than how I dropped it off. When I voiced my concerns to Mr. Hany, he was VERY dismissive and told me that the ring looked the same. After asking him to look under the magnifying glass in the store, he stated that the ring was "made with a darker diamond." I left the store and by the time I got home, about a 15 minute drive, I was CERTAIN that something was wrong. Because of this, I immediately called and told them I would be back the next day. When I came back, Ms. Opal was a LITTLE more helpful, but also very dismissive and then it was basically 2vs1 going against everything I hd to say. Even while showing them pictures of how the ring looked before as well as them having the ring IN STORE, they both proceeded to tell me that the ring looked the same. After about 30 minutes of back and forth, Ms. Opal finally said that it just needed a good "rhodium plating" and that when I got it back, it would be fine. So once again, I turned it in and when it got back, it was SLIGHTLY better. This time, when they moved the diamond up, they moved the entire ring up which made it look bent and slanted. I immediately told them the ring was still bad and that I would not be giving it back to them to "repair." To give you all an idea of how bad the ring was, when I tried to exchange the ring and get it fixed at another store, they had to get district manager approval because it was "too damaged to exchange." If you are going to buy from Zales, make sure you don't need to get it sent out to the same Jeweler as College Station and absolutely do not do business with Mr. Hany. He was rude, aggressive and the absolute opposite of what you think of when you think of "good customer service." This Zales made the amazing experience of getting a ring dreadful, stressful, and miserable. DO NOT GO HERE to buy any jewelry. I will be contacting corporate too as soon as i get the chance. This is one of many photos showing the differences in the way the ring was supposed to look versus how I...
Read moreUPDATE: Yet another problem!! I dropped my engagement ring off to be repaired on October 30th. I have called their store and cooperate multiple times trying to get my ring back. Well I thought I was getting good news when I received a call from the store on December 30th from the store manager, Melissa, stating that my ring was in. I went in the next day to pick it up and was helped by Melissa who stated that my ring was in fact not back, and when I told her that she called me, asked for me by name, and told me their store hours because of the holiday, she called me a lier because "she did not make any calls yesterday". I am beyond upset. My wedding is next month and there is no update on when my ring will be back. I will not be returning to this store ever again because of their complete lack of professionalism.
This store is so unprofessional, my fiancé ordered my wedding day jewelry a strand of pearls with matching earrings online and had them shipped to the store along with a new box chain. When it arrived he went to pick it up and everything was handed to him in small plastic baggies. He had to ask for it to be boxed up because it was to be my gift. Now he took my ring to be resized a few weeks ago and it came back with a diamond broken off, it arrived 3 days before he went to pick it up and no one even checked it when it arrived back at the store. It is an hour drive for us to go there and the complete lack of professionalism is ridiculous. Take pride in your work or go find a different job where you don't have to take care of people or their...
Read moreWe have been buying from zales for 10 years, since my husband purchased my engagement and wedding bands from there. I recently took them in in January to have them resized and a small diamond replaced. They sent it off and I got a call about 3 weeks later (as expected) that they were back. I went to pick them up and the resizing was done but the diamond still hadn't been replaced so they sent it back off with an estimated return of 3 weeks again. This time my husband picked it up when they called and said it was back again. He brought it home where I realized the diamond STILL had not been replaced. I took it back that same evening to find out what was going on. Why it wasn't replaced and how they didn't even notice. They said it was sent to the wrong vendor, the vendor they sent it to doesn't even do their diamonds. When I asked how that was even possible I was told by a man working there (Not the young lady helping me) that it was not their fault and I had no reason to be upset with them and that I needed to complain to customer service about the vendor. About the vendor I was just told that THEY incorrectly sent it to? How is that not the stores fault? So now they've sent it off again but the expected return date now is over a month out. Why do we continue sending it off through Zales? Because we have the diamond protection plan that replaces them for free. We won't use them for...
