Two friends and I travelled ( 5 hour drive) to the area for my birthday weekend celebration (April 8-10, 2022) along with the Bluebonnet Trails & 70th Annual Bluebonnet Festival in Ennis. We were excited to see the Bluebonnets, something we had never done before. Our room 309 was large in size and very clean until one of my friends opened the sofa bed to find what looked to be a large blood stain on the corner of the mattress and also what appeared to be mold. My friend decided she would just sleep on the cushions on the sofa. There was no bedding for the sofa. Had to go downstairs to get the linens that had just came out of the dryer and there was no blankets available. The next night my friend decided to stay somewhere else so she didn't have to sleep on "that" sofa. The first night we were 3 adults in the room with only one towel and two wash clothes the second night no towels or wash clothes. Again I had to go downstairs to get towels and wash clothes and again they were just taking them out of the dryer. Guess they are short on staff so the desk clerks are having to do laundry along with their duty at the front desk. Breakfast was hot and pretty good for your average "continental" breakfast. The lady working in the breakfast area did a great job keeping everything full and plentiful. Wasn't able to use the pool or spa due to some sort of ball tournament so the pool and spa was always overcrowded with kids. They couldn't keep up with the demand for linens, towels and wash clothes. Our room was located near the elevator. I was surprised it wasn't noisy by the elevator considering the large gap under our room door. When checking out I mentioned to the man at the desk, assuming he was the manager, about the sofa bed. He kept talking to me as to say stop talking I heard you about the sofa bed. Guess he didn't want any other guest to hear me talking about it. I had mentioned it to the night clerk the night before who stated she would make a note of it. However the beds were very comfortable and the stay wasn't bad. Not sure I'll stay there again if I'm ever in the area. Will probably add to the bottom of my list of places to stay in Corsicana. Wish I would've taken a picture of the sofa and the mattress to post on here. Hopefully they...

WOW!!! I'm not sure what happened, but this stay was TOTALLY different than the last. 1st - When we tried to check in, there were about 5 people behind the desk. However, only 1 was helping the customer standing at the front of a line of people waiting to be helped. We waited about 20 miniutes without even being acknowledged. Finally when my husband came in to check on what was taking so long, I said (loud enough for the workers to hear me) "There are several people behind the desk, but only 1 seems to be able to help anyone."
2nd - Once we got to our room, the TV remote did not work. My husband took the remote to the front desk and the person layed out several remotes and said, pick one. He did and as we thought...it did not work on our TV. Their solution was for us to move to another room. So, we gathered all our belongings and moved down the hall.
3rd - In our NEW room, I needed to call down to the front desk. I picked up the desk phone receiver and there was no dial tone. The phone by the bed did not have a dial tone, either. So, I called the front desk from my cell pnone. The person said she'd bring another phone to the room. She did and when she switched the phone out, the new phone did not work, either.
4th - I needed ice and wanted to know where the ice machine was...since there was not information in the room about ice machine locations. Again, from my cell phone, I called the front desk and the person that answered said, "Let me put you on hold, while I find out." (It seems someone answering the phone should have some knowledge of the hotel.) When she came back to the phone, she said, "I think there is only 1 on the 1st floor." I later read on a sign in the hall, they're located on the 1st and 4th floor. That would have been good information, since we were located on the 3rd floor.
I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel at this time, because from what we experienced, people were poorly trained and not customer oriented. The facility is fairly nice, but the poor service and bad decisions being made by the staff makes me hesitant to stay there again or recommend...
Read moreLacy took my call when I called the hotel directly to ask about upgrading to a suite that wasn't available on the website. She was precious sweet, very personable. Took my contact info and said she would talk to her manager and call me right back which she did. Upon check-in, she stated her manager was upset because she thought we were checking in the night before but the suite was available so no problem. The $35 upgrade was for a jacuzzi suite, which we found out the following morning was not working properly. Notified the front desk and expected maintenance which never showed up. Upon checkout was told he was called away to run the front desk at another property. Asked to speak to management and was told she would be in at 3:00. 24 hours later no call. Called the following day at 3:00 and asked to speak to management. Told Kristen, the supposed manager, of the problem. She stated maintenance and housekeeping said it was working. I told her what it was doing, randomly shutting off every 1-2 min and coming on again a few min later. She hung up on me. I called back and was told she would call me back. 3 hours later, after no call back, I called her again and she again stated it was working properly which is most certainly was not. She again had not bothered to check it herself. Asked who her manager was and if I could speak to him. She stated she would ask him to call me. When asked what timeframe, she rudely replied "whenever he has time". Rather than wait on her to drop the ball (again!), I contacted corporate who handled the problem as she could have and will allow them to handle it internally. They are refunding me the $35 difference I paid which is nice but still doesn't address the true problem...a malfunctioning jacuzzi and the very worst management. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and a reasonably priced. The other staff was amazing but they answer to someone who absolutely has NO DESIRE to provide outstanding customer service. So, if you're looking for a place to crash and don't expect anyone to correct or care if you have problems, have at it! If you have problems, forgo the trouble of dealing with local management and go ahead and call...
