Today Feb 6, 2022. Visited the store in Corsicana. This was my first time going into this store my sister always talks about how great this store is "candy land" like they call it. They always go and bring lots of candy today I decided to go and take my grand kids along to what they called a chocolate factory experience. As we walked in we were greted by a very nice lady and we continue to shop, me never been there I was looking at all the variety. Now I know kids can get Loud my kids were exited to see so much candy. 10 min later an employee comes to ask if we found everything ok we said yes and continue. Long story short i felt like we were being watch every step by this one employee Austin. after picking so much candy we go to the front and off course decided to get ice cream very good if I may say so great quality. Paying is when my great experience stop Austin our cashier was not having it maybe bad day. Or my kids were on his last nerves but I sensed rudeness. We had different transactions as I was paying my daughters we ask if my grandbaby could have her own small bag as she was excited to get her own. he bag her stuff and said it's that was all we said nooo is all together we just needed an extra bag he continued to scan the rest he was as I saw throwing the candy stuff fell off the bag so I express myself with a.. WELL AND SIGHTED. I also had a separate candy which he proceeded to say if that's all I was buying the other cashier could check me out I said no because I'm paying with one card just separate again sense frustration on his part. Once we finish $250.00 dollars later I feel like he was not very customer service experienced .. for me I've worked in stores before and i know that's not the way to treat my customers. I hope no one else feels this way about going to this store .. WOULD I GO BACK MAYBE.... MAYBE NOT BUT THAT LEFT ME AN UNASATISFIED TASTE AND A NOT GOOD FIRST...
Read moreThis place always ticks me off, every time I visit! I innocently think I am going in for a small box or two of chocolates fresh from the factory. You know, just a four pack of cream fills and maybe a small variety box. Nope! Doesn't work that way. The super friendly and helpful staff offer a free sample at the front counter and proceed to tell you about "the back room" as the sugar rush begins to hit....and escort you to the delectable bargains hidden behind a wall. Every. Freakin'. Time. Four boxes of "bloopers"(at buy one/get one free, 24 oz each, yup. 2 lb boxes!!!) later, a Sack, or three, of "imperfect" cream filled concoctions, and I find myself blindly stumbling out the door struggling for my car keys while I try to figure out how I got bamboozled, once again, into a trunk full of more chocolatey confections than any one household should ever see. Dang it! But - Chocolate! Fresh chocolate. And the gall of those innocent shop women's faces as they send you out into the world having successfully crumbled your every bit of control and reason. You have...
Read moreWe stopped at Russell Stover on our way back from Dallas to Houston and I'm glad we did. I, definitely, recommend anyone to visit this storefront! Wow! I'm big on customer service. From the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted by the ladies behind the counter. This, definitely, made me feel welcome, especially after a horrible experience at a bakery close by. I love chocolate, so you know I felt like I was in Chocolate Heaven! Valentine's Day is around the corner, so you can imagine how pretty the store looked. Heart candy boxes everywhere! The selection was huge! A bit overwhelming, but it was very clean and organized. I loved the fact that they had a sugar free selection, so I was able to buy candy for my parents. We walked to the back and found a treasure! The candy is discounted because it's out of season. Very affordable. Make sure to hit the back section first. There is a huge selection there, too, so you will not be disappointed! This was a very pleasant experience. Thank you for making me feel you appreciated my...
