Before we start…I am a Chick-fil-A fan. Virtually every town I go to, I find some way to locate at Chick-fil-A. Eat breakfast at CFA most days of the week. Been in town now for a week. They have failed to make it correctly for the last three days now. It’s a simple thing…two slices of cheese on an egg biscuit. The order takers get it right…to their credit! They listen. Unfortunately, the kitchen doesn’t… They don’t read apparently or they just don’t pay attention.
The food gets corrected, and I keep getting the obligatory and routine “I’m sorry.” But sorry requires change. They aren’t changing so their apologies aren’t sincere; a point I made to the young man gray-shirt supervisor. Hoping my words made a difference, but alas they don’t appear to have. I was looking for him to convey things to the black-shirt manager on duty but they didn’t speak at all. I was looking for him to go to the kitchen for some “guidance”, but nothing. He just went back to the duties of gathering and delivering orders. I feel like this was slightly worse because the black-shirt manager heard me talking when I first pointed out the order mistake and didn’t seem bothered at all. Maybe she was confident that supervisor was capable.
If nobody gives feedback or guidance to the staff making the mistakes, there’s no opportunity for them to acknowledge and improve. Unfortunately, this is a fairly common theme across the many Chick-fil-A locations I visit. Mistakes happen and “sorry” is said but things don’t change. I’m probably pushing the avalanche back up the mountain at this point. But today just overcooked my grits. My “home“ location gets it right. They have the benefit of seeing me every day, And double checking with staff before the order comes out. Something locations I just visit can’t know. But I go to enough Chick-fil-A’s, that I can say this is a rather common thing. Why do I keep going then? I’m a fan of the taste and service when they get it right. One could argue I’m part of the problem because I keep coming in spite of this. And after all, they’re in business to sell so unless selling falls off, why change. Still…hoping this finds a conscientious mind with tie drive to...

Read moreSadly, Chick-fil-A is becoming a victim of its own success.
I am NOT a regular for two reasons.
Even though ordering staff come to your car to order, in an effort to speed you through the drive thru, I often feel like I’ve pulled into a desperate car showroom and I’m pounced upon before I’ve even pulled to a halt.
Secondly, their actual knowledge of the menu, is often less than my own and, because of the queues of cars that I’ve now entered, I often feel obliged to order something, anything, just to keep that horrible traffic line from venturing to the main road. Even if that means I’m second guessing the menu, when it’s on a board 6 or 7 cars ahead.
Other patrons creep forward, flicking over cell phone menus and that’s not good for anyone. I don’t believe that there isn’t rear end shunts galore on a daily basis.
As for the food, well, for the most part, it’s an over priced lump of chicken fried or grilled, and placed, with one slice of lettuce, into a rather sad bun.
They DO have wraps, nuggets and tenders. While they are each well cooked, value for money isn’t really there.
The soup too is ok, if a little salty, but again, beginning to price itself outside of other...
