I have been a consignor here for years-- started at the old location when they switched owners. I've also liked shopping here for my kids. I know there are complaints on here about the pricing at DT, and if you don't like it, then go elsewhere. If I don't agree with a pricing, I don't get it. It's that simple! Ha. You have to decide if you really want the item to pay $X-- just like anything. And the price tag gets lower every few weeks, so that's pretty cool. Maybe I don't want to pay full price for this item, but I'll check it out in a couple weeks when the price lowered and then I might want to buy it. But there are lots of sales and discounts on items throughout the year which are pretty good. You can find unique things here which is really cool!
My one complaint is that I really feel like the staff has become less friendly! ā¹ I saw two staff members there the other day that I didn't recognize, so is that partially why? I miss the days where you'd walk in and immediately get a "hello!" from the woman with the reddish hair (Robin??) from wherever she was in the store. She's always been really sweet and friendly. The woman with the brown hair and glasses was at the previous location too and she is also very sweet. There is another woman who had curly blonde hair and she never greets me or just says hi when she passes me in the store. I don't get it. I don't ever ask for help, I don't bother anyone, I bring items for you guys to sell, and I'm invisible. I went the other day and someone was being checked out at the register as I walked in. In the past, they would still say hi. I looked at the cashier (curly hair lady), expecting some eye contact, getting myself ready to say "hi," (yes, I'm an awkward introvert!), and nothing. I literally walked in with my consignment items, went all the way through the store to drop them off without anyone saying a word to me. There was a lady I hadn't seen before in the back by the drops (items to be consigned), and she didn't say anything before OR after she went through my stuff. If I didn't buy anything, I probably would've gone the whole time until I walked out the door without anyone speaking to me.
I ended up buying a couple small things for my kids and the cashier (maybe someone new; I didn't recognize her), didn't even say "thank you." That is such a pet peeve of mine. I've been in retail for many years myself and that's literally the ONE thing you should say after a customer purchases something. I think she said, "Have a good one" or something like that.
I hate complaining and I really don't ask much. Maybe because I'm very quiet and don't go out of my way to say hi, so staff don't notice me? Either way, you should be greeting and thanking everyone who walks in your store. I'm glad your businesses are doing so well but please don't ignore the people who helped get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had such a great first-time experience at Double Take Consignmentāboth as a consignor and a shopper! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such warmth. The ladies working there were friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The store itself is incredibly clean, beautifully organized, and has such a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. As a consignor, I felt like the process was clear, fair, and well-explained, and as a shopper, I was impressed with the quality and variety of items available. Itās clear they take pride in maintaining a well-curated selection. Iām so glad I found this gem and will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy three girls and I absolutely love it here! The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful. I consign and shop here, and although I donāt feel that I get a lot for my stuff, I really appreciate not having to hassle with selling it on my own. I find great deals on clothes and shoes for my girls and myself, especially on sale days! They only take high quality items in excellent condition, and they notice stains and spots I would never see, so I know anything I buy there will be in like new! My kids love the tiny shopping carts, the fun dressing room, and the book room!...
