While the hotel presented certain challenges, there were notable positives that contributed to the overall experience. The customer service was commendable, with staff showing responsiveness to inquiries and issues, ensuring that there were no significant complaints in this area. The room and was well-maintained, though a closer inspection revealed that areas like under the bed could benefit from more thorough cleaning. This oversight is understandable, given the potential for such spots to be missed during routine cleaning processes.
Pros:
The hotel offers good value for the price, especially when booking directly (hint hint).
Its location is ideal for exploring Bishop, with all key locations within walking distance.
Customer service is a strong point, with staff being helpful and attentive to guest needs.
General cleanliness is maintained well across the hotel, contributing to a comfortable stay.
Cons:
Room 1’s proximity to the street led to noise disturbances from loud cars, on top of already existing issues with thin walls and noise from other guests. The neighbor was watching TV and it was as if the TV was in our room.
Room-specific challenges included uncomfortable temperature control, poor WiFi connectivity, inadequate pillows, and a hard mattress, which collectively impacted the quality of rest and overall comfort.
Future Consideration:
Despite the drawbacks experienced in Room 1, there’s potential for a better stay in different rooms, particularly on higher floors which might offer a reprieve from noise and...
Read moreThis was my first time staying in the Bishop Arts District. If you are planning to visit this area, you HAVE to stay at this hotel. You are right in the middle of all the amazing things the neighborhood has to offer. There truly is a different energy in that neighborhood, especially at night. We had such a cool experience just walking around and taking everything in. The hotel itself is small and easy to locate. Very stylish. We stayed in Penthouse 7 and it was perfect. Very clean, nice quiet environment. Beds were very comfortable. I couldn't believe the price of this place, it was such a good deal with everything considered. We truly had a blast and it will be the place I stay when I come back again. 10/10 would recommend to everyone! The ONLY thing I would say that was not perfect about this place was that the parking situation can be weird. You get one parking spot for your unit. Which is fine, but if you're staying in the penthouse with multiple guests, parking can be a hassle. Luckily we only had two cars, and our friend was able to park in the neighborhood - but it was parked a bit away from our hotel room. Some people may be uncomfortable not being able to see their car at night from the hotel. That is the only thing I wish was different. But the way that it's built, they simply can't accommodate more cars, so it's understandable. If that will be an issue for you, you may not want to stay here. Otherwise,...
Read moreWhile the hotel is in a great location within the Bishop Arts District, my overall experience left a lot to be desired. There was quite a bit of noise throughout the night, and I noticed some questionable activity and guests during my stay, which made me feel a bit uneasy.
Communication from management was very slow—if you receive any response at all. I had several questions regarding policies and check-in procedures, and it took a long time to hear back. When I arrived, the self-check-in process was confusing. The code I received didn't work, and the instructions were unclear about which room I was supposed to access. After trying another room, I found that the second door still wouldn’t open. Eventually, I learned they had given me the wrong code altogether. It took 30 to 45 minutes and multiple messages before I could finally get into my room.
The room itself was decent at first glance, but only moderately clean. There was visible ceiling damage above the shower, likely from a leak in the room above.
Overall, the stay was frustrating due to poor communication and maintenance issues. I’m not sure I would stay here again—or even be able to—given the lack of responsiveness from the...
