I checked in at 8:30 3/22/22 in room 205 at Hilton home 2 suites in Daphne Alabama. I needed a good night’s sleep so I picked what I thought was the best place to stay. However, after being in the room about an hour. The TV wasn’t working so I called down to the front desk and left it ring a long time to complain the TV was not working. Then I discovered That the power cord was disconnected from the back of the TV. So that fixed it. When I would use the bathroom it would make me cough. I dismissed this but it happened every time I went in the room. Then I went to bed around 1 am and couldn’t quit coughing. I’m assuming it’s because we turned the air conditioner on. That lasted until about 3 am. I finally fell asleep but was up around 7 am and I coughed many times before departure at 9:30 am. There was no one at the front desk and I had an appointment for 10:15 am so I dropped my door keys in the basket like the sign said. There was a bell but I did not ring it. Had I been able to sleep I would have had more time before my departure to complain.
I am an asthmatic but I’m only allergic to Aspergillus mold. I complained to the Hilton and told them I expected compensation of a refund. I explained to the Hilton person how disappointed I was. This even affected the sound of my voice. It became raspy. She said she would give this information to corporate and they would be sending us free night stay coupon. I prayed a higher nightly rate because it is spring break! The normal rate is $150. So how is giving me a free night stay during off-peak the same as peak pricing!!? And if I lose gift certificate I’m out the money. I want a refund!!! It states 100 percent guarantee. So Give me my $214.50 back to me. And give me points for my inconvenience. I thought I picked the best but I was mistaken!!!
This stay should not have triggered my asthma. I was very inconvenienced. But they refused to give me a refund!!! I didn’t even eat breakfast there. Yes my choice but when you only sleep 4 hours Who would get up at 3 hours sleep so you have time for breakfast?!
And they better send maintenance to the room to clean the ac unit and the exhaust fan. I’m not the only asthmatic...
Read moreVery poor customer service "Vitoria" the evening receptionist was rude and shown zero skills on treating people, first of all she didn't look at me at all when I asked if they had water "cases upon cases behind her" she pointed to the freezer and said $2 a piece, so I grabbed a couple of waters and some snacks. when I placed the waters and snacks on top of the desk, she finally looked at us me holding a baby and my 2 older kids, didn't greed us whatsoever, with a mean attitude she asked what is the room number? I said I'm paying, I gave my card and I asked for a receipt. She swapped my card and said there is no receipt. I asked if she was having technical difficulties to print the receipt and she said no, without any explanation why no receipt, I asked for a supervisor and she said "I'm the only one here". At the mean time I was opening one of the waters but my baby didn't want because it was too cold I asked if we could have one of the waters that was behind her desk and she said it is FREE for Diamond members ONLY! I asked , can you swap one of these that I paid for the one of the free ones that was outside of the freezer? She grabbed one of the cold waters I paid with attitude put down on her desk and gave me a nestle water, she did swap the paid water for the free water but she did gave me a very hard time. Pretending she couldn't hear me or understand me. I know she could hear me!!! The worst experience I ever had. I will never stay at home 2 again they obviously don't know how to hire people. My kids said mom what is wrong with that woman... even the kids noticed her contempt towards me. But to reinforce my decision in never step in a home 2 again, the morning I was happy to leave, she wasn't there anymore but when I got a mug to have some coffee it had a dent and had lipstick on. I took a photo to post on my review. Because I value where I put my money, and any time I see that I waited my money I will give others heads up to not do the same!!! So if you care about customer service and cleaners DO NOT Stay...
Read moreThe great thing about this place is the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. The rooms are efficiently designed to make use of all the space. Plenty of cabinets/shelving for storage, nice kitchenette with dishes/utensils provided, dishwasher, and privacy curtain to separate the tv area with sofabed from the bedroom area. Really cool full sized roll away table that seated our whole family for the dinner we brought in. Lobby is super clean with a nice fire pit outside I liked that the lobby had disinfectant wipes available to wipe down your table before sitting down. Coffee and tea station was available 24/7 in the lobby. Worst thing was the service. First night of check in our room wasn't ready and we had to wait an hour. The next morning breakfast buffet was late opening. The food was decent though. Our second stay coming back home was a little better since our room was ready and had enough towels stocked for our party of 5. But our room phone wasn't working and had to go downstairs when we needed something. I asked to have it switched out but was told the maintenance person was gone for the day. We were offered another room but we had already settled in and didn't want to move again. Next morning there was no hot breakfast because the cook was out sick. Seems like they are short staffed and the staff they do have do not multitask. The other thing that really bothered me was that the glass containers for holding suger/creamer for the coffee was not clean. They had sticky spots all over from creamer spilling and crumbs collected at the bottom. I made the staff aware of this 3 times to no avail. They have a satisfaction guarantee but they couldn't help me with that since I booked...
