Ocean Court Beachfront Hotel — Hotel in Daytona Beach Shores

I stayed at this beachfront hotel from the 22nd of December to roughly the 26th and was kicked out by the manager with police involved resulting in a no trespass order to my guest who happened to be a handicapped and homeless man who resides on the "streets" of Daytona beach and myself. We were pushed around and left with no where to go which caused me to miss my flight back to my place in Canada. My only question to the manager was why have you decided to make this decision in kicking us out while keeping my money without any reimbursement and she replied with not a single reason except "we can no longer accommodate you and your guest"... Long story short when the Daytona beach police arrived the two female managers that were there that morning the proceeded to tell the officers that i was threatening them with violence which baffled me because that was not the case at all.. I simply asked what the reason for kicking me out for was while keeping my money paid for hotel room.. The police did not buy their bullshit story but had to follow protocall and monitor myself and my handicapped homeless friend Ben while I had to abruptly pack my stuff on to get tossed to the curb resulting in a missed flight back home which cost me additional money and stress to organize that all while trying to spend Christmas 🎄 in Florida... Funny because I called this resort before leaving this review on Google and a lady named Chanelle or Shanelle answered claiming to be the hotel manager and when I mentioned who I wad asking for an answer as to why I/we were kicked out during Christmas she simply hung up the phone... Really.. Pathetic and unorganized bunch and I'd like if any one can direct me on how or who I can speak 🤔 with in regards to these so called "managers" actual bosses are?.. Wtf....

The staff in general are very friendly and helpful especially the lovely Iota our housekeeper….nothing was too much trouble. The room and balcony were cleaned to a very high standard daily. Clean towels and flannels every day. Linen change every 3 days. Toiletries replenished when necessary. They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and makeup wipes. Well equipped kitchen in room with Fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine electric cooker, washing up liquid scourer dishcloths and Tea towel provided ( again these were changed daily) The rooms are spotlessly cleaned even the windows and the patio areas washed down regularly. Some rooms were a little bit dated but are all in the process of being refurbished. Two double beds and a sofa bed in each room. Most rooms have two balconies facing the courtyard with fountain looking out on the Ocean front and beautiful Daytona beach. Unfortunately the pool was not in use whilst we were there due to the pump house being damaged during the hurricanes, however this is due to be repaired later this year hopefully by the late summer. However this didn’t detract from our enjoyment as the hotel is right on the Beach. We also had complimentary use of the Boardwalk hotel pool ( their sister hotel which is a 5 minute drive or a 45 minute walk along the beach. The beach is very long and flat compact sand making it very easy to walk along. The sea was warm and relatively calm most days ( in May ) we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and met some lovely people some of which have been coming for over 20 years a testament to how good the place is. Great restaurants within walking distance and supermarket within a few minutes walk. Ideal location just 15 minutes from Daytona Beach Airport and the Speedway and about an hours drive...

DON'T GIVE THEM THHIER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION My wife and I had an event at the Speedway and wanted to stay with our Brit friends at Ocean Court. So I called to make reservations. Was disappointed to find that Dave and Andrew no longer own the place. While booking, I was informed that there would be a hundred dollar additional charge that would be refunded after our stay, this sounded strange and when I questioned that he waived that. Paid with Credit Card and was asked to repeat it several times???? I was told that I would get a confirmation email soon. Mean time...When I checked my CC statement there were a lot of fraudulent charges that were charged directly after booking. This took over a month to get cleared up. One of my last questions to the CC company was where the charges originated from? "Daytona Beach Fl." was the answer! And still no confirmation from Ocean Court, numerous phone calls with no response. My wife sent an email that took them three weeks to respond to. At that time they said that have no reservations for us with that CC number? When I told them the exact time and date I called, they called me back within five minutes to say there was a misspelling. If they checked by CC# how could they misspell my name???...They said that they would refund my CC. Reluctant to give them my new CC# I had to contact the CC company again. Even though I finally got a full refund, my wife and I will NOT be going back to the Ocean Court! We Miss you...
