I found this beautiful gem by accident, and I am so glad that I did. It was at night time when I traveled by and it was lit up so beautifully that I could tell then this was no cookie cutter hotel. From the moment I walked in to reserve the room everything in my heart said I chose the right place. I was looking for a room for a celebration 🎉 for my sweet baby girl who was turning 17. I was immediately greeted by the warmest and sweetest woman who shared in my excitement, not for only finding this amazing place but for excitement of my daughter turning 17. We stayed for 2 nights, 3 days, and even though the weather was so cold and we couldn't enjoy the pool, we understood because the cold rain and wind was the bottom factor. We stayed in room 44, sweetly called The Avacodo Suite. My daughter is vegetarian and it was fitting. The room was beautifu!!!! Beds were so incredibly comfortable and the pull out couch was just as comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We had a balcony view of the ocean and were able to see the pool as well. The outside environment was clean and safe. Parking was easy. The kitchen was fully equipped so we could prepare food as well as a coffee maker and extremely nice size refrigerator. The bathroomhad a bath tub, hair dryer,, and cute little white stand for your toiletries. The living room and ding area for4 was perfect. Even a recliner to relax in. Housekeeping was extremely nice and helpful. I saved this part for last, because I was so touched by the detail and consideration for my daughter Ella's birthday. The front desk surprised my daughter with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers and a beautiful white teddy bear. The fact that they went above and beyond to remember her birthday and help to celebrate it was an extremely beautiful touch. I recommend this hotel there are many different rooms there is nothing cookie cutter about it at all. They have rooms to meet All occasions and each one is decorated different and with murals on the wall that match the room. I had an opportunity to look at some other rooms while I was there and there it's not one thing that I could say negative about anything. This will be our place to stay from now on not only because management and ownership are above and beyond what you would expect, the grounds and the rooms and the location make this a place that you should never pass up. Thank you so much to all of you at Tropical Manor for making it a wonderful and special weekend for my daughter. Yeah one night your rating should allow me to give you 10 Stars because that's what you are a 10 star hotel if not...
Read moreUpdated after Owner responded to original 2-star review No, we were not able to move rooms as there were no vacancies. There were numerous other issues we ignored/excused. Most egregious, was the house keeper yelling at my child because we placed the dirty towel bin inside the unit after the 30 mph winds had already thrown it down the street twice. We placed it outside in the morning, as per the pre-stipulated wishes that we only have trash and towel service due to covid, but the retrieval/renewal time frame didn't happen immediately. After retrieving the dirty towels, but not replacing with clean in the bin, there was no longer enough weight to hold the white plastic bin steady against the wind. The house keeper may have had a bad day, we were trying to have a family vacation so I told my child to let it go. How am I to know if there is currently a crime(s) occuring at businesses near your facility? While there, we witnessed a drug deal, a store robbery, and an insane car accident. If you want to call right now to report crimes occurring, you should do it at the time you witness it. Being as I am from Florida, I am not busting up a drug deal, the robbery was already reported, and the accident already had response on the way. Yes, the air going out did, in fact, cut our visit short. The original plan was to stay on the grounds up until 11am checkout time (but have the unit packed so house keeping could begin preparing it for the bext guest). We had the unit packed completely by 7am but were instructed by night staff to please wait until 9am to see owner/manager to see what could be done about our misery. We waited until 9am to bring keys and be told "sorry." (Begin original review) We met with family in 3 different suites to have a weekend together. The grounds were beautiful and the hotel very charming. We stayed in unit 51 which is a seperate house with top and bottom apartments. The air conditioner quit working on our 3rd and final night. It was miserably hot and cut our family visit short because we left early. We were not offered a partial refund for the night or any other form of accomodation (they were sold out so no other room we could have slept in that night). While quite charming, the area too is just not great. Lots of drug activity and loud street noise late into the night (noise might be lessened in the main facility rather than the stand-alone...
Read moreMy stay at Tropical Manor May 1-10, 2025 was the best experience I have ever had. Let’s start with my room #16 Pansy. It was such a quaint beautiful room. As soon as I opened my door you could smell how fresh and clean everything was. The decor is perfect! Plenty of room for more than just one person. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillows were perfectly fluffed. The bathroom was spotless and fresh, with plenty of towels. It also had a refrigerator and a microwave that came in handy and were also very clean. The cleaning staff are amazing and friendly, and do a great job keeping the rooms fresh and clean. The ladies at the front desk are all very friendly and professional. My favorite part was my walk out to the pool/beach access area. The property is very well kept and set up so great. The breeze way with the rocking chairs on the way out to the pool were great. You got a beautiful view and an awesome breeze. Night time awesome. You can feel how much the owners really care about their guests. The heated pool was perfect temperature, and the pool was also very clean. I loved the beach access area. It was just perfect to go to the beach and have your room close to run back to when you need something. The beach of course was beautiful and clean. They have a grill area by the pool so you can cook out! I also had the pleasure of seeing a lot of what Daytona has to offer thanks to the nice gal that took my reservation, Angela N.. she was so welcoming when I arrived. She also was able to offer great suggestions on things to do while I was there, and different places to go. This really made my vacation feel like vacation. It was really a great experience and I...
