Today, my friends and I were celebrating a birthday at Del Mar Seaside Grill, a restaurant that used to be one of my favorites in Del Mar. Sadly, our experience was marred by the presence of an extremely rude waitress. From the moment we arrived, she was reluctant to seat us and complained about having to explain the menu when my friends were visiting for the first time, curious to try new dishes. When I asked for dessert only, she became visibly upset, failing to accurately note our order. In the end, she rudely suggested we leave if we were unhappy with the service, and we chose to do so. I have a video capturing her offensive attitude and will share it to shed light on this unpleasant encounter. Despite this unfortunate incident, I must acknowledge the restaurant's outstanding cuisine. It's disheartening that such individuals work here. There's a saying that you can overlook or forget a subpar culinary experience, but a bad attitude or poor treatment is harder to forgive. However, we found solace and exceptional service at En Fuego Cantina Grill, right next door. Victor, the manager or waiter, warmly welcomed us and ensured we had the birthday celebration we were hoping for. We appreciate their hospitality and highly recommend others to consider En Fuego Cantina Grill for a pleasant dining experience.

Fantastic Persian and Mediterranean cuisine in Del Mar. Beautiful setting, cozy sitting area, nifty bar all tastefully done in one place in the heart of Del Mar to the South of 15th Street. Their Soltani dish was out of this world. Perfectly made kebobs, the best steamed basmati rice one ever had, and awesome mezah’s. The owners were at the wheel and kept checked mg on us to ensure We had a great experience. Parker Ng might be a challenge during busy times but we didn't mind the 3 minutes stroll in Del Mar

Weeknight dinner review - The place itself and the environment is great. It was mostly empty with some outside tables occupied. Food itself is decent. The appetizers were great. We had Tahdig with Ghormeh and some kind of lentil stew, which was fantastic. The olive and cheese plate was pretty good as well. However my entree Sea Bass was very bland and had no flavor to it. It was pretty disappointing. Others had Salmon which they said was good. Service was decent.

This Persian/Greek restaurant calls Alborz. It is located at 2672 Del mar heights RD and run by uneducated and unprofessional family. It used to be a place that i go once a month for different occasions mostly friend's party in our community and my recent visit for sure was the last one. Just last weekend, i was invited to a party. I ordered my food and paid my bill in cash. I was 2 dollars short on the tip. I told the owner's wife respectfully that " i am short on the tip and will add it to my next one " ,she accepted. A little while later as i was sitting at the table the owner ( husband) which know as Reza came up behind me . He was using a very loud and rude tone of voice and told me " i paid that out of my pocket ,so get out of here". As i get up and followed him toward to the cashier,I told him " i don't appreciate the way he is treating me as a customer and humiliating me front of his customers and my friends ,this seems to be a poorhouse" he get so close to me and intimidating me by saying " i will punch in your face" and continuing with swearwords as i was leaving the place This kind of negative behavior was very pathetic, inappropriate, unwelcoming, humiliating and certainly unfair experience. I believe no one deserve to be treated like this. I will not spend a nickle for this place ever again. There are many pleasant, welcoming restaurant in San Diego with a great attitude and service that thankfully i had a chance to be in many of them and feeling home and warm. in fact, this restaurant is not one of them !!! unprofessional, unfriendly, unwelcoming ,unfair with lack of education and finally their negative behavior are not appreciated.

I absolutely do not like...

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. The lack of organization and poor customer service was evident from the moment we entered the restaurant. We had a reservation at 8pm. We got there a little late around 8:15. There was no one there to greet us. After waiting about 5 minutes, the lady who looked very stressed out asked us to wait a few minutes to get our table ready even though we had a reservation. She also didn't know how many people were in our party. After waiting another 5-10 minutes, we were seated. From the time we ordered our food to the time it was brought to our table, it took about an hour. Not once did anyone come to our table to let us know why it was taking so long. Finally when one of us went to ask why it was taking so long, the stressed out lady was very rude and said "you have to be patient". No apologies given! As if it was our fault. The whole time we were waiting nobody even came by to fill our water glasses until we asked for water. When food was served, they had no idea who ordered what and had to ask each individual what they ordered. The food was tasteless and lukewarm. I have received better service at fast food restaurants. There are many great options when it comes to Persian restaurants in San Diego area. Alborz Restaurant should be your last option. Poor management, poor service, below...
