Rico Celeste and Lindsey were the best they made the stay worth it. The staff is absolutely amazing but unfortunately Ana the manager here is not very professional at all. I woke up got into shower didn't think music was that loud but I'm deaf in one ear from car accident and I heard a knock went to door time her to give me a minute so I could get dressed invited her in and she tells me that my alarm went off okay well I do not smoke cigarettes so was very offended by her accusations twords the very end of our conversation that once she saw my blunt she said it smelled.... the smell of marijuana is not illegal not is it illegal to roll in room I never have smoked on premises I've stayed here for almost a month at one point and never had any complaints there's no smoke no ashes no smell other than the smell of marijuana that I had rolled prior to getting in the shower witch does not damage anything or disrupt anyone's health. I spend thousands of dollars and had work business and a family funeral to be planned and she literally told everyone that they could not extend me she never told me anything that's not right it's illegal to refuse an extension due to a noise complaint and false alarm there was nothing to indicate that I had smoke or previously smoked in room everyone at front knows that I leave and come back hours after. I've tried to resolve the issue like an adult and she has been ignoring me and so now I'm gonna have to report the situation to her manager and my attorney to take action because that's definitely not okay to accuse someone and than turn around and refuses extension to ven though they extended me the day after? Makes no sense and if I was "supposedly smoking in the room then that would result in me not getting my deposit and the authorities being called and me being kicked out and that did not take place just curious to why she could not discuss this with me professionally to come to a solution because she didn't even check the fire alarms they could be malfunctioning for all we know she didn't even check that she just looked for ashes couldn't find anything did not smell like any smoke it just smells like marijuana not smoke there's a difference between the smell of it and there's a difference between the smoke in the air if I were to be smoking in that room you would definitely be able to tell if I smoke even just one time I've worked hospitality for 8 + years and I definitely know that it was very unprofessional and illegal to refuse me an extension when I have business and a family funeral that everybody's coming over here for so with that being said she is declining business and money I am a platinum member almost to diamond I've spent thousands of dollars here and on top of that have never had any complaints so I'm very offended with the way that she's carrying this place is now I'm going to have to tell all my employees and all of my people that this probably isn't the best bet because I can't be here to extend and I'm the one who's running the events so now I'm going to have to take my business elsewhere which really is irritating because I was not treated fairly with this whole situation I was not aware of this until this morning why would she extend me the next day but not the days i specifically let her know was important she avoided me and did not call me when I politely asked her to as well as wrote her a note so we could resolve even though I was not in the wrong she literally did not conduct that properly she did not do it right at all and I'm going to have to take legal action because that's defamation of character and I'm really trying not to do that because Bruce is a very nice man and works hard to keep his hotels in good standing so maybe somebody could get back to me and we could resolve this because I would hate to have to leave this hotel not knowing what I truly did wrong plus whole staff is amazing and I like the location but this is the first time I've ever had any situation like this happen and that's not right especially because I didn't do...
Read moreSo much negative to say about this stay. I will NEVER be staying here again.
I have stayed at this hotel every year for just about six years in a row. We had a one year break (we didn't come last year), and in that year span A LOT has changed. The hotel is definitely under newer management, which is part of the problem. Ana, the general manager, does not know how to effectively speak with customers. I am not sure if she is just awkward or simply that rude. Nonetheless, every time I spoke with her, OR ANY OF THE SIX FAMILIES SPOKE TO HER, she was nothing but rude. The first time, before our stay, she was extremely rude to me about hotel rates on FIVE rooms-- I guess five rooms bringing her hotel over a $1000 profit in two days is not sufficient for her. Then, she had me send paperwork to her, and she never had the courtesy to inform me whether she did or did not receive the paperwork. Since Ana could not send a simple email back, I had to call the hotel again and this time spoke to a different receptionist. And, it is a good thing I called because Ana had NOT told me she put our five rooms in the MainStay portion of this hotel, which - by the way, I had requested NOT to be in. Then, come to find out, the paperwork for these rooms was never applied or saved for these rooms (again Ana's fault). The receptionist I spoke to was the MOST helpful and welcoming throughout our entire stay here. However, Ana and Leslie were very unkind and unprofessional towards our entire party, and they (Ana and Leslie) later said the receptionist i spoke to did everything wrong and did not know what she was talking about because she is "just a front desk receptionist" -- literally throwing her under the bus right to our faces! So unprofessional. Literally....This just kept getting worse. We were told families that were staying in the other 4 rooms could check-in once they arrived because we knew with weather conditions that I would not likely arrive prior to everyone else. Notes were written that families could check-in prior to me arriving; however, when the day came, Ana and Leslie were extremely rude to the families. At first telling them that they could not check-in without me there-- to which I had to call and explain AGAIN that we were driving in terrible weather conditions and that this had already been discussed. They reluctantly followed through and allowed the family to check-in, but proceeded to tell them that if I was not there by 930 that they would be "kicked out!" They were not very compassionate or understanding in these events and were just simply worried about making sure they got all of their money. And, even proceeded to call us TWO more times asking where we were. I do believe if we would not have called or answered, they would have sold our rooms! Once we FINALLY arrived, 8 hours later-- in what should have been a 3 hour drive -- we were not greeted warmly. Both Leslie and Ana, again, only cared about their money. More complications were had with paperwork and things (which was at no one's specific fault), but Ana -THE MANAGER- never once spoke to me directly during all of this process. She would speak to Leslie, who would then relay what Ana had said. Ana had no clue how to handle some of the paperwork we needed, acted like the paperwork that was sent to her was not accurate, and was beyond rude to us about it. Ana also was not truthful about handling a situation with this paperwork, and due to that, the issue was never resolved. Ana is not an appropriate fit for manager, and is not worried about supporting customers. While I understand the business side of things, I also understand that there is a balance. These two have zero balance and care only about money. Everyone entering that hotel is just another money sign to them, and they will not help you to ensure you have a great experience at their hotel. This is also apparent in the appearance of the...
Read moreFirst let me just say the room was hardly my acceptable standard of clean... I'll share the photos I snapped but aside from the non existent housekeeping that's taking place here there was one employee in particular that was just horrible and I mean from the moment I had to interact with her she was a nightmare I'm speaking about the older lady she's short with gray short hair and larger build she's one of the only older ladies I saw there everyone else was very nice. But this lady I mean she'll haunt my nightmares for years to come I tell you what. Ok so the first day I checked in the front this girl was nice, she was, pleasant, efficient The only thing was that she forgot my ID in the copier now this wouldn't be an issue unless you remembered that the front desk closes at 6:00 and doesn't open again until 11:00 a.m. I'm not quite sure how they check anybody in this way but I digress now because of this I wasn't able to get my ID that night I had to wait until the next day to receive it and I actually got lucky because when I went down there I ran into nightmare Lady coming out of the office but the office was closed so had she not been coming out I would not have been able to get my ID back then I would have had to wait till 11:00 anyway I run into her and I asked her to retrieve my ID which she proceeds to gives me a dirty glare before going to get my ID And then retreated to the safety of my room after this interaction and and everything was fine until the next day when I left in the morning to go run some errands when I got back I had my My support dog with me and she begins to signal to my blood sugar dropping and And at this time she's letting me know it's critical and I need to get up to my room to to boost my sugar now this lady is in the hallway and sees her signaling me and yells at me from across the room basically that oh no that's not happening and tells me that My support animal isn't allowed to be there and then I inform her that she was my support dog and she shaking her head giving me dirty looks yells at me again that no they don't allow support dogs which from my understanding you have to allow support dogs and there's no questions that should be asked after they've been informed it's a support animal so I continued up to my room figuring she was wrong as I'm pretty sure she is and was able to get my sugar boosted before I passed out now the rest of the night was fine even the next day was fine no issues cuz that lady wasn't there, It wasn't until the next night when I tried to book the room again that I was informed that I wasn't allowed to book the room again because I had an animal in the room with me and instead of arguing my medical rights and HIPAA code enforcement on service animals I just left cuz I wasn't trying to give them any more of my money and I found a different place that was happy to accommodate me and my support animal. The room was probably in the same exact state as it was when I first entered it My animal did not use the bathroom in the room I took her out every single time and she didn't mess anything up or I don't know what they assume could have happened but it didn't so I'm not quite sure why they had such an issue with me now I'm sure they have other people saying there that have cause more damage and issues than my dog did or could have and I'm just completely disappointed with this place not following their own sign that states that service animals are allowed it's very concerning. I would not recommend this place I would not waste your money here there are other places who are just as affordable and way nicer and way more friendly than this place if I could give it no stars I would if I could give it negative stars I would trust me you'll be much happier at a different...
