Barnum Park is a fairly large park around the southwest side of Denver. I was surprised at the size and at the relative tranquility this park offers being so close to downtown and major streets such as 6th ave, Federal Blvd and Interstate 25. Since this park sits on top of a hill, it overlooks the downtown Denver skyline and also has a lake, a rec center, biking trails, restrooms and a water fountain. They are so hard for a child or an older person to tune the handeles. I had to have someone help me turn on the shower for me. Denver Parks sold some parkland for building purposes. I think someone running the show is wheeling and dealing and selling off Denver parkland, which once gone, never returns. Never.
