We chose Cocinita Mexicana to try a new local restaurant tonight. 10 out of 10 recommend this spot. It is truly authentic Mexican cuisine made for the modern era! The presentation was on point and the green and recyclable packaging was a welcome sight. The food itself was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced and reminded me of the meals my tiá abuela used to make for us when we were little 💜 I had the tacos de papa 🥔🌮 and they hit the spot to a T. Loved the texture of the Mexican mashed potatoes, not too gooey, but still smooth and rich. The slaw was tangy with a well blended profile of seasonings and the radish added a freshness that pulled it all together. My partners both ordered the enchiladas roja and were raving about them all throughout dinner 🥰🤤 lol it was cute! The cherry on top was the wonderfully sweet hand written note! Thank you so much, we definitely enjoyed our meals! 💕🌮💜 All in all it was a great take away dining experience. We will definitely be ordering again and decided to visit in person on our next night out🌃. Thank you for the passion you put into each dish. Elegimos Cocinita Mexicana para probar un nuevo restaurante local esta noche. Recomiendo este lugar 10 de 10. ¡Es auténtica cocina mexicana hecha para la era moderna! La presentación fue perfecta y el empaque ecológico y reciclable fue una grata sorpresa. ¡La comida en sí estaba absolutamente deliciosa! Los sabores estaban perfectamente equilibrados y me recordaron las comidas que mi tía abuela solía prepararnos cuando éramos pequeños 💜 Pedí los tacos de papa 🥔🌮 y fueron perfectos. Me encantó la textura del puré de papa mexicano, no demasiado pegajoso, pero aún así suave y rico. La ensalada de col era ácida con un perfil de condimentos bien combinado y el rábano agregó una frescura que lo unificó todo. Mis dos parejas pidieron las enchiladas rojas y estuvieron delirando sobre ellas durante toda la cena 🥰🤤 ¡jaja! ¡Fueron adorables! ¡La cereza del pastel fue la maravillosa nota escrita a mano! ¡Muchas gracias, definitivamente disfrutamos nuestras comidas! Was visiting Colorado with my family and got the crave to have Mexican food, we found this little take out restaurant and decided to give it a try. Has to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The food was so delicious and flavorful, it was like an explosion of flavors and the chips and salsa they have are the best I’ve ever had, they were so good I didn’t even get to take a picture of them.The flautas we ordered were the bomb and I have to say the best one I’ve ever had.The agua fresca has to be my favorite drink that I have ever drank that I’ve been given the opportunity to try. Definitely one of my favorite places to go to and definitely one of the reasons I would have to come back to Denver again. Honestly I don’t know if these reviews are fake or I was just unlucky. Find it a bit suspicious that there’s so many outstanding reviews. Ordered two burritos and a quesadilla and Taco Bell would’ve been less bland, the barbacoa had no flavor whatsoever.

Literally I almost feel like someone created the restaurant website as a joke, compared to the food I received and what it tasted like. Frozen meals would’ve been a better choice. Also the prices are outrageous, $7 for a taco or $23 for a platter of 3. I’ll admit they got me with what the website shows and the reviews.

Edit: I appreciate the response from the owner, and would like to say I do feel a bit guilty leaving a review like this for a small business. I will try them again in the future and will change my review if I have a better experience. Hopefully I just had a one off...
