Acres Landing — Hotel in Desert Hot Springs

Do NOT stay at this hotel. It’s a complete waste of money.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night during our trip to Palm Springs from May 3 to May 4. The experience was terrible, and the hotel manager handled the situation unprofessionally and without any proper communication.

That night, we returned to the hotel around midnight after visiting a nearby bar, only to find that a sprinkler had burst right in front of our room and was spraying water directly toward our door. We tried to cover it temporarily with something and attempted to open the door, but the door lock wasn’t working at all.

We contacted the hotel and asked for assistance. When the maintenance person arrived, he told us the issue could be fixed in 10 minutes—but it ended up taking over an hour. We were stuck outside the room for an hour, late at night, unable to rest. As a result, my wife caught a cold, and our schedule for the next day was completely ruined.

I spoke to a staff member named Pauline during checkout and requested a full refund. She told me the hotel manager, Paola, wasn’t available at the time and gave me her contact information. Pauline also said Paola would call me the next morning, but Paola never called. I tried contacting her and the hotel seven times, and she didn’t answer. Out of frustration, I called again using my wife’s phone—and Pauline answered immediately. It seems clear that my number had been blocked.

When I confronted her about not responding, she claimed that Paola had already spoken to me and decided to give me a 25% refund—which was a complete lie. I never spoke to her once, and my call records can prove that. Also since they ruined the whole trip and made my wife get sick, I’m not satisfied at all with 25% discount. This hotel chose to make a decision on their own without discussing anything with the guest, and then tried to cover it up with dishonesty.

This kind of attitude—avoiding responsibility, ignoring the customer, and making decisions without any proper communication—is absolutely unacceptable.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away...

I just finished a three night stay at Acres Landing I'm still feeling so rejuvenated. I am still in awe of how nice the amenities were and how much I enjoyed them.

Acres Landing has amazing Air Stream rooms that were converted to be an even cozier hotel room. I'm someone who does a lot of travel and also own an RV trailer, and I can say that this airstream felt a lot more like a hotel experience than an RV experience. Having the stability (it didn't shake as you move around the trailer like a real RV often does) and also constant power and water, my room/trailer even had a bathtub inside the room, AND outside the room which was amazing. I used both throughout my stay, just to get the full experience.

The air conditioning was over my bed, which I loved. I haven't slept that great in awhile. The cool temp and white noise, and cozy bed were all amazing at getting a good nights rest.

On to Acres Landing as an event space: It looks like it would be such a rad experience to host an event there. Not only does it have these amazing trailers for your closest family and friends, but there is also the beloved Aqua Soleil right next door with amazing room options and epic vibes. I've been staying at Aqua Soleil for many years when heading out to the desert and love the vibes, but Acres Landing and the experience there is such a unique and awesome vibe. Having an event space, and rooms for everyone in your event or party all on the same property having fun, and not having the same constraints that a lot of the outdoor events have in Palm Springs is huge.

I really feel that Acres Landing is going to explode in the coming weeks/months. I've stayed at a lot of hotels, venues, VRBO's, etc. over the years and I really feel like this place is special.

Until...

I recently had the pleasure of spending a girls' night at a this charming Airstream property, and I can't recommend it enough! The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the amazing layout that surrounded the property. Well kept desert landscape and thoughtfully placed seating areas created a serene and inviting atmosphere.

The amenities were top-notch, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. We especially loved the spacious Airstreams, each renovated with unique touches that made them feel like home. It was clear that a lot of thought went into the design, ensuring each space was cozy and functional.

One of the highlights of our trip was the stunning pool area. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind, with comfortable loungers and plenty of room. We spent hours lounging by the water, soaking up the stars and enjoying each other's company.

One of the crowning jewels for my stay was the outdoor tubs. Imagine soaking in a warm tub under the stars, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature—it was pure bliss! These tubs added an extra layer of luxury to our experience.

We also appreciated the presence of security while on the premises. It gave us peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy our time without any worries.

Overall, our girls' night was an absolute success, thanks to this quaint Airstream property. From the incredible landscaping to the thoughtful amenities, every detail contributed to an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return for...
