Days Inn by Wyndham Dickson — Hotel in Dickson

There are good points and not so good points about this place, but good overall. The three of us stayed for 4 nights - two queen size beds. We got a bargain price through Priceline.com of $51 per night.

Good location and not much traffic noise in our room. There are many nice restaurants nearby - notably Cracker Barrel.

We were promised that breakfast was included each morning on Priceline’s website, but were told it was cancelled because of COVID when we checked in - that was a bad start.

Once we got into our room, we noticed the phone didn’t work and we couldn’t understand how to operate the heater. The receptionist came over right away (we had to use our mobile phone to contact her) and she fixed our problems - it was about 30 degrees. We really appreciated her help in that cold weather.

Also, we left money out on a table for the cleaners as a tip. The money was in the same spot when we returned to our room. So the next day I had to physically hand it to them. I would say that is proof of their honesty. They spoke limited English (I think their first language is Urdu) but we were able to communicate and they seemed like hard workers - we appreciated their quality cleaning as well.

The rooms were not sparkling clean - mold on the inside window around the heater/ac, our shower curtain should have been replaced or bleached, and there were other areas that needed to be dusted or cleaned because of dust buildup.

We had loud, foul-mouthed neighbors the first night that woke us up around 5am.

But overall, we were happy with our stay - AND the bargain price....

I stayed here over the weekend and I read the most recent post my concern is the hotel manager had stated that they would impove on the cleanliness of there rooms, there were no roaches however the floors are still not being mopped they turned out feet black and my daughters soaks were clean and turned really black. This place has potential, to be honest it wasnt that bad. Id like to know the floors will be mopped and cleaned up. No bed bugs no roaches were found clean towels and rags were in the rooms, the sink wasn't cleaned there was hair in it. The shower wasn't bad the ac and heat worked. Main thing was the floors not sweep and mopped. Bed was clean sheets were good beds were made up. The beds weren't hard they wasnt the softest, within reason for the price. Not a bad deal. I'll buy another stay in a couple weeks to see if the cleaning of the floors was improved, take pictures and update my review. I had asked for room service to come in and clean and they never did. I was disappointed about that I did move the beds and it's very dirty underneath I found a half a joint and powder I swept up and throw away. Originally gave a great review but after the first night things started going downhill. My wife started waking up with welts on her arms and legs, at the time we couldn't find why. We found out why when my wife started seeing flees. When I asked to move rooms they said I would have to talk to the manager when he came in. I was gone working till 1am so when we woke up I went and asked to move. The manager originally told me he didn't have any other room, and that it didn't matter what room we went to that the flees come in from outside. After he explained that he moved us to another room I don't know where that room came from but he did. I started moving our stuff and had my wife stay in the new room. When I brought a load of stuff in she let me know she seen a flee on the bed. So I talked to the manager again, and asked if we could get a refund on the nights we had not stayed yet "we had 4 more nights paid for" he got mad and told us he would have to charge us for tonight because we had been in the new room, he already told me he was going to rent out the room we came from with the flees. I told him if he tried to charge us for the extra night since it was only about noon that I was going to call Wyndham. He suddenly decided to give our money back but told us to get our stuff...
