Me and my mom went into this today and within 15 minutes we were SO UNCOMFORTABLE we left the store in a rush. We were originally assisted by the owner of the store but he was busy so he directed another associate to help us. We let him know that we were just looking and wished to get a card with more information. Instead, he pushily tried to get us to order the mattress ON THE SPOT. Starting to feel uncomfortable, my mother once again reiterated that we were just looking and she had to talk about it with her husband before she made a 2,000$ purchase. The larger man made a joke about us "young ladies needing his approval for a bed". Feeling extremely awkward, we politely asked for a card and let him know we were ready to go. After he wrote up the mattress information he slapped it down on the counter and my mom let him know she was feeling very pressured. He exclaimed that he was not being pushy and then decided to put me, a teenage girl, on the spot. "Am I being pushy?!" Of course I responded yes, as I had been ready to just walk out as soon as he tried to have us buy the first mattress he showed us. Instead of responding to our complaint with an apology he just snapped the info card down and sent us on our way. Read moreThey seem nice and finding the right mattress was good. After getting the mattress as Verlo calls themselves a Mattress factory with comfort as their main focus, we were disappointed that the mattress was nothing as soft as the one we picked out on showroom floor. We go back and report that we are unhappy about the mattress comfort level and are told to just take off the mattress protector- which for warrenty policy standards is required- and then told to come back if still not happy. Figuring maybe the mattress was just really new and stiffer do to this, we waited a month or two and then came back to report we were still unhappy with the mattress. As we were in the store we retried out the mattress in the show room to see how much different they really were. It was a night and day difference. We specified that upon perchase we wanted as soft as possible. So we finally got an appointment to adjust the mattress comfort level..though better, it still is not nearly as comfortable or soft as it should be..also do to their policy they will not take it back..or allow for...
Read moreWe had a 20+ year old be in need of some serious replacement. After visiting most of the mattresses places in Dubuque, we were on our way home to Wisconsin empty handed when my wife pointed out the fact that Verlo was up ahead. We walked in almost at closing time and Rod helped us out with trying different beds and such. We walked out with a new frame, box spring, and mattress scheduled for delivery in the near future. Their prices were reasonable and in store service was outstanding.
That trend continued for the delivery as well. The guys showed, were very professional and respectful of our house and belongings. They set up the bed, cleaned up their cardboard and plastic, and were out the door in very short time (5-10 min at most).
I’ve sent a few friends to Verlo and they have had the same great experience. We’ll definitely be back when we need to add beds...
