One star is for the staff otherwise I'd give none! This place is not a good place to stay. For starters we rented two rooms. The rooms were okay to a glance but actually quite nasty to think multiple people are renting these rooms. Someone's glasses were left behind which were very visible, there were a stack of napkins on the side of the night stand which should've been thrown away as well. The bathroom vanity mirror was so dirty it had dust build up on it meaning Windex and paper towels never touch it! The floor never sees a vacuum therefore you can see all the dust and build up on the floor, gross! twenty minutes in we discovered the kids room had brown yucky stains all over the outside comforter on one of the beds and ours had a red substance on the fitted sheet. We were told someone went home with the linen key so they couldn't get us new linen. They did offer to change us rooms but we were afraid of what the next rooms might look like. We were in town for my husbands grandfather's funeral and he wanted to stay here because the rest of the family was staying here. Against my better judgment I stayed here (team player) but not without heading to Wal-mart for cleaning supplies. I cleaned the shower and you could literally see the clean spot and dirty spot. When rinsing the tub it was full of brown dirty residue from the many other bodies that had been in that tub, gross! There is a night club literally attached to the hotel and we could hear all the music and people partying as if we were in the club with them!!!! The place is not kept up although they tried to upgrade a thing or two to make it look good. It rained every day we were there and the hallways flooded therefore we had to walk through puddles that they didn't attempt to clean up, they just put out caution wet signs. A quarter of the hotel is in doors and the rest is out doors but the portion in doors did not get cleaned and floors did not get mopped! Towels were scarce and we fought daily to get them. We planned to stay for four days but by day 3 even my husband had had enough and gave in to let us check out early. So my advice is if you don't have to stay here DON'T!!!! Just pay the extra $10-$20 to go to the Holiday Inn Express you will thank yourself in the end! Another word of advice when you read long bad reviews BELIEVE them! No one wants to sit down and waste time telling you a lie for no reason. We are trying to save you the heartache. I am happy to report we did not find any bed bugs and no one got bit.
I gotta tell you I read the reviews and I said it can't be that bad and came anyway and guess what....they were that bad! All the anonymous reviews with 5 stars trust me it is the hotel giving themselves 5 stars to try to keep the rating up so people will still come. Well..........consider...
Read moreI enjoyed my stay here for the first time while returning back to check my properties in Duncan. I always stayed at the Hampton Inn here while remodeling. I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel was clean and the pool indoor area is so nice. I have a water leak so with two homes and a RV....we had storms coming in ....so staying here was a last minute decision. Crystal, Christina & Alex are top notch staff members at the front desk. Exceptional in fact! It takes a special person to have the gift of making a customer feel like they are HOME and treated like family in a cherished kind of way. All three of these front desk staff members were world class service examples of what it means to serve your customers in a professional manner and with a smile! Hats off to my new place to stay while checking on properties from time to time. My queen bed was comfy with an excellent mattress, soft linens and towels. My room was immaculate! I used to own a cleaning business so I check the nooks and crannies! It was a restful and peaceful night there. Exceptional in every detail to the breakfast sandwich and options. Juice tasted fresh and light and yogurt/muffin was tasty. The lady serving breakfast was en route to a vacation to Destin, Florida. She was exceptional too! I do not have my notes for her name. She had a beautiful smile and was so perfect in greeting another guest and myself and serving us. Great service all around! Wow!! Then lastly my guest services/housekeeper lady was a shining example too!! I explained I had requested a late checkout so I could take a quick swim after arriving in from a 3 -day , 18 hour drive with 3 dogs journey! This lady whose name is written on my planner and not in my office at this writing...Joanne maybe??...sorry I took notes and my planner is at another office! She had a great smile and gave me info on some local things to check out. Knowledgeable and just so friendly- the icing on the cake! From checkin to checkout: the staff here are fast but friendly, extremely professional but make you feel like an honored guest and treat you as if you are their precious family members!! I rate this hotel a 10!! It was a fantastic stay!! Hats off to management for selecting an outstounding team of professionals who SHINE in every way to make your stay memorable...
Read moreMy husband, 4 month old daughter and I stayed at the Quality Inn of Duncan for 7 days and had booked the reservation 5 days in advance. We were fully aware that the hotel had a restaurant and a bar attached. We had asked that our room be farthest from the bar due to having a youngster. Although, my husband and I would have enjoyed the night scene ourselves, we didn't want to be around the chaos that comes with the bar's atmosphere; knowing that we brought our baby along. This recommendation was never an issue with the desk clerk and she was more than willing to accommodate us. Upon arrival the parking lot was clean and well maintained, as well as, the lobby. The desk clerk was very busy at the time we checked in (8pm on a Tuesday). I watched her as she helped guests before me and helped a guest on the phone. She was very personable with each guest. She was very prepared and had answers to all the questions being asked. When it was my turn to be helped she had pulled up my reservation (along with the special requests I made) and had a room key ready for me. The whole ordeal lasted 3 mins. The room was very clean and fully stocked with all the essentials. The pillows were amazing. The bed was the perfect balance of firm and soft. The bathroom was clean. The toilet sparkled and the water pressure in the bathtub/shower was definitely beyond what I expected. Each day housekeeping asked if we needed new towels or if we wanted new bed sheets. I spoke with housekeeping each and everyday and they were very friendly. A few of the housekeepers even answered questions I had about the surrounding area and recommended places to eat. I called the front desk twice during our stay and they helped me both times without hesitation. We didn't have any issues with hearing or seeing the restaurants/bar's guests. We will definitely recommend this hotel to a friend. I do travel to Duncan, OK on a regular basis and this will be the hotel we stay at each time. My husband and I were very pleased with service we received during our stay. It was well worth the price we paid for a...
