EDIT: So The GM, Jay Desai, called me and after telling me I wasnt allowed to stay there anymore, started yelling at me because I posted bad reviews. The Wyndham customer service has been contacted and I am currently awaiting resolution. I didnt want any further contact with this individual and didnt respond to his first email telling me I wasnt getting any resolution and I didnt answer his first phone call. His call today, 1-24-24 was @ 855PM, outside of normal business hours. i cannot stress enough how far you should stay away from this place.
This was without a doubt the worst experience Ive ever had here much less any other motel. I booked the room under my name through priceline. I called the motel to see what needed to be done to have someone else check the room out for me since I would be in town late and didnt want to incur any further charges. I was told to fill out a form authorizing incidentals and send a picture of my ID and credit card. I sent it, asked if there was anything else that need be done and was told no. At 945 that night when my agent went in there acting on my behalf to check the room out, they were asked for their ID and then told there was a 150 deposit for local address holders for the room, that this was standard practice for all the hotels in the area. The deposit, whioch they state was only because of a local address, was paid in cash. Then I was notified about it. I called and the GM answered the phone. I asked him what the deal was with this deposit and he stated as above. I asked why this was the case and he said it so locals didnt trash the joint. My response was I have a local address on my ID even though I dont live there anymore and this deposit wasnt charged for me when I stayed there about 3 weeks prior, nor is there ANY sort of documentation on Priceline, the super 8 website, or in any communication that states as such about this so called deposit. The GM then got rude and started talking voer me and said I saw your ID and you should have been charged, multiple times when I tried to speak he kept talking over me. Finally I said im not calling and asking about the other hotels im asking about this one and why is it that someone that was authorized but not the one that booked the room being charged this, he didnt have an answer out side of that, local address. The GM was rude, inconsiderate and hateful. He didnt own up to any sort of miscommunication and instead chose to blame it on a guy named larry that he said was new. So it sounds like the GM didnt train him correctly. I want a refund on this stay and will never be staying with this establishment again and will actively go out of my way to persuade others not to as well. DO NOT STAY HERE if you have anything close to a local address, they will charge you more and then act like you should know when there is NOTHING anywhere that...
Read moreOld and dirty. See the photos! The outside doors were dirty, so not a good impression. I didn't even want to touch the doorknob. The shower was old and moldy and had loose tiles, the toilet was old and dirty, the microwave was dirty, the chair was stained and the mattress was stained and there was something splattered on the brown wood on the bed foundation that was clearly visible from the door. The bed looked like it had been slept in and the sheets had yellow stains and small holes like it has been burned by ashes. I took some photos. We booked two rooms for a family funeral in town. One for myself and one for my mother who is in chemo. The rooms were shown to regularly cost $127 which was the same as Holiday Inn Suites, so we thought is was a bargain for $65 dollars a room. The manager wouldn't even refund our money, so we had to go across the street and pay for two other rooms. They did offer us other rooms, but denied our refund before they even came to look at our concerns. The man at the front desk was nice and I was nice back. He said he would talk to the manager. There was no way we were staying there with my mom needing to be away from germs. It just wasn't at all what the pictures show. Stay away! I hope some other family sees this and doesn't waste...
Read moreThis is a solid choice for an affordable, comfortable, and clean motel in Duncan. It's much less expensive than other hotels in the area and I was happy with our four night stay. The room itself was fairly spacious and the bed was firm but comfortable. The bed linens, towels, and shower were clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, even at 3:00 AM. I think that this motel could really, really shine with a little bit of deep cleaning (walls, under the sink, doors, etc.) and some simple bathroom updates.
The only real issue to be aware of is the club next door and the fire station across the street, which both can cause noise and disruption. We stayed near the middle of the motel and got in late most nights, so we weren't bothered much by the club. However, the incredibly loud speaker at the fire station was VERY annoying. As is, I will probably opt to stay here again in the future for my trips to Oklahoma if I'm on a budget, but if I have some extra cash (or am only staying one night), I'll choose the Holiday Inn Express for a...
