Just checked out if this s**thole. We stayed one night (thank God!), while we attended minnesota vikings training camp. I chose this place after quite a bit of research on location and what could accomodate my family of 5. I was pumped to see that the days inn was close to the facility and had a "family suite" that could fit 5 adults. "Perfect", I thought so I booked. We checked in and get to our room.... there are 2 double beds and a computer chair... hmmm, so I went down to the front desk and asked for a rollaway bed, was charged for it, and said it would be on its way. We went to the training camp and had a fantastic time. Got back pretty late and my kids were exhausted, get to the room, no roll-away. Called down to the desk to ask for the bed and they said the RAN out of them, they overbooked them. They still charged me for it until I demanded they remove it. So here i am with 3 very tired kids, one crying because she wants to go to bed. I go to the lobby and ask to talk to a manager, there isn't one, i show them my reservation that says it should fit 5 people and she states, "yeah those rooms cant fit 5". I ask about other rooms available, they didn't have any. So then i ask for extra blankets and pillows so someone can sleep on the floor. I go back to my room and kids are still whining, crying needing to go to bed. Took about 10 minutes of crying, whining and fighting to figure out who would volunteer to sleep on the floor, finally someone did... but they never delivered the damn blankets, called the front desk and they wouldn't pick up. So i slept 3 to a double bed, hardly slept, lower back ache and out $150.00 for a hotel room that couldn't accomodate 5 people like it advertised. I was never offered any sort of apology or comp. I will never stay at a Days inn again. I travel frequently and book for my employees at work and will never book at a days inn again after this...
Read moreI have never been treated so sorry in all my life. My husband & I had rented a car & brought our pooch & "had" to stay there because the company my husband was going to work for had prearranged this as well as the car rental which had to go back to the airport when we got there. So we were stuck! Right off the bat they got an attitude with my husband because are room wouldn't be ready till 3 but the car had to be back as soon as we got there which was like 12:30pm 1pm we had to put all our stuff on a cart & wait in the lobby. We told them at least 3 times that we did NOT want a smoking room which we had to settle for & the room smelled like dog pee & smoke & the floor was wet in a spot & on top of that there was no fridge or microwave & although the company pd for it up front we still had to pay the company so in essence we were paying for the room it was like $3 or $400. So when I went down to ask about a fridge because I was totally flaborgasted that there wasn't one in the room to begin with they told me it was going to be $5 & some change & as I started to walk away the manger said that's per night mam' fuming but still trying stay calm I walked back to the room & told my husband & the more I thought about it the angrier I felt because of all the junk we had already had to endure so I walked back down there & said something to the effect of I have never in my life stayed in a motel that you had to pay for a freakn fridge of course I was a little loud who wouldn't be the manager threatened to call the police & have me arrested & removed from the property if I didn't calm down & basically shut up! Last I checked this is a free country & GOD gave me this voice to stand up for myself! What really gets me is he knew we had no way of going anywhere else basically prisoner there do what he said or...
Read moreNeeds improvements outside looks updated, a staff member opened the door for us which was very nice and thankfully so, since there is no automatic entry it would had been difficult with holding my bag on my lap in my wheelchair & husband hand everything else. The he staff person who checked us in was also very kind unfortunately that is where the great part ends! They really need to do something with the old mildew smell that permeates everywhere if we had a choice we would have left & gone elsewhere once we entered the room & the smell was worse in there. The carpet in the room was filthy we would not dare to walk around without shoes on, when I saw the the washroom & shower I had my husband call his employer who was putting us up in this place to see if they had any other options available, it was a a small entry in a dark & outdated that I had difficulty using as it was a shower only unit with a door. The pillows were travel or throw pillow sized the beds were alright for comfort but the had lots of channels to choose from to watch on TV but did not want to spend any extra time in the room then necessary. They do have a whirlpool, sauna, & a pool which needed cleaning went for a swim to find the water cool & the filter not running so it ended quicker then would have liked & went to shower. This is in a great location & hope they do some renovations especially with getting rid of the offensive smells and filthy carpets! Their breakfast is mostly carb loaded danishes, muffins, they have yogurts but no fresh fruit which was...
