I was really looking forward to my appointment last Tuesday. I booked my appointment online and had received a confirmation email.the email did not indicate any further steps I needed to take to confirm this appointment. I showed up to my 4:40pm appt. Upon walking in I was asked "are you Anya?" And I said no and gave them my first and last name. Without hesitation the receptionist said "oh yes, we canceled your appointment because we didn't hear back from you with a credit card #". I was immediately extremely disappointed. It was my only day off that week and I was excited to get my lashes done for the first time. I started going through my call log. Then she said they left me voice-mail. I opened my voicemails. I had no voicemails from their number... (I called my phone carrier and asked them to look up all incoming calls from the studios phone # and they said I did not get any calls) Anyway, I agreed to reschedule and I swiped my credit card so it was now on file. I was set to be seen Saturday the 23rd at 9AM with Hannah. Thry said I would get a phone call confirmation and i told her no, I dont want a call, I want an email because I don't want anymore confusion (since apparently I was not getting their phone calls). Mind you their policy is to charge you a partial payment if you cancel within a certain window or charge you in full if you no show.....I totally understand taking credit cards as I work with an appointment book as well, but obviously double booking yourself and lying about confirmation calls is disgusting.
I got a phone call at work on Friday the 22nd,(weird! I get their calls now??) saying Hannah had a medical emergency and I would need to reschedule. The receptionist said the had a 5pm on Saturday with Rachel. I sighed and agreed. To me this was already a disappointing experience but emergencies happen. Today, Saturday the 23rd, I receive a call at 2:31pm(again, crazy, I get their calls now!) stating my stylist had an emergency and had left for the day and asked me to reschedule. I said "you know, I dont think so and please take my credit card information out of your system"
I really wish I could have been serviced and had a great experience. Their intro price is reasonable and they are located conveniently to where I live.
In the end though, this was an absolute disaster. I have wasted TWO days off rearranging my schedule to suit their availability only to be canceled on 3 times.....and I would not recommend this business purely based on how unprofessionally my bookingS were handled.
If they can schedule me with someone who is dependable and has been at their location for a long time, give me an additional discount for all of my wasted time driving there and taking their calls during work, I would reconsider coming in for services and would...
Read moreI have been to this studio twice. It is very clean and they follow very strict COVID-19 prevention protocols. Though, the very first time I walked into this studio the front desk associate closest to the door who saw me first, just stared at me, no greeting, no hello. It was weird. Then a lady came for the back room, almost immediately, and she was very friendly, warm and professional. I think she may have been the manager. I got my lashes done by Ashley. I loved them the first time. The second time, I tried a 6d look which I didn’t love. They were gorgeous, but they a bit too obviously fake. It wasn’t her fault. Also, I would say they need to work on improving the actual EXPERIENCE for clients. Laying on a what looks like a hospital gurney for almost 2 hours with absolutely no neck or head support is a far cry from a relaxing spa like experience. I have been getting my lashes done for over 10 years and every studio I have been to provides some sort of a rolled up towel or something to support your neck. The rooms are also very cold and they don’t have blankets. The experience is just all around uncomfortable for a service that averages at about $100/hour. It could be to limit the transmission of germs as we are in a pandemic, but I hope post COVID, they implement some of these minor changes to give the customers a truly relaxing experience. Finally, at my last visit I was extremely put off when I stepped out to use the restroom after Ashley had finished my lashes and realized she had brought my purse to the front desk before I returned back to the room. I found that bizarre. I had not had a chance to properly take a closer look at my lashes, or even ask questions. I felt rushed and it was absolutely off putting. Again, the experience needs to be more...
Read moreI decided to try another location that was closer since both lady’s I’ve had at the Edina location left, and this was my first fill. I was only a couple minutes late and I sincerely apologized multiple times because I’m usually not one to be late to things... but life happens! Then they told me I still needed to fill out paperwork again since it’s a different location even though nobody told me that on the phone or in the emails.
We got started 15 minutes late (yes my fault), but online it says to allow 45-60 minutes for a fill which means she should’ve still been capable of doing almost a full fill in that time. Maranda started by lectured me saying that I should’ve had an appointment a week ago... I pay for them once a month so i thought I’d do the same day each month... but I guess that’s unacceptable? I guess I have to go every 3 weeks but I still had at least 20 lashes on each eye so it was still considered a fill. After lecturing and talking down to me she didn’t talk the entire time... I felt so awkward and uncomfortable. Then when she finished she proceeded to tell me she filled them only 50% and blamed me for being 5 minutes late to my 60 minute appointment. I have never had such rude service in my life! If you have Maranda I hope you didn’t walk out feeling as terrible as I did because pampering yourself should build you up not tear you down!
I’ve had two amazing lady’s at the Edina location, who were so friendly and did a great job. I’m hoping I can find a stylist here that I like and that sticks around otherwise I’ll have to try...
