I stayed at the hotel and checked out this morning. Would definitely recommend the hotel and possibly the restaurant if we would have had a different waitress. She seated us then asked if we were guest of the hotel. Which we were in an executive room and had 4 children with us for my sons 8 year birthday slumber. Once I told her yes it was as if she was instantly put off. Got our drinks to us then took 45 minutes to get us refills and get our Rangoon out to us. I asked how much longer she thought the boys food would take (they were starving after swimming for 3 hours lol) and asked if it was going to be awhile since it had already been nearly an hour. She then very sarcastically laughed and said it has not been an hour. I was in shock at such disrespect. I felt we were treated like we were garbage. We did have four young children with us, but they were very well behaved and coloring the entire time. So after she said she’ll go check on the food and came back with the food right away and still had terrible attitude. The kids food was nothing special and the fries were cold. Honestly McDonalds offers a better kids meal. The cost I thought was ridiculously high as well. It cost 57$ for one adult meal, small order of Rangoon and 3 beers. I asked to see a manager she said there was not one there. So I said let me talk to whoever is In charge then. She said that could take hours. I said That’s fine I’m staying here all night so however long it takes. I never heard anything. So I talked to another staff that works there that told me her name is Osorio and put me in touch with the hotel manager. The restaurant was busy. I understand that things are not as quick when it is busy. I was a waitress for many years in the past. I still would have never treated customers the way she treated us. Absolutely unbelievable. I will return to the hotel but most certainly not the restaurant. The children eating free wasn’t...
Read moreThey get one star because I cannot give ZERO. I just had possibly the worst experiences of my life here. Apparently, the hotel is owned by a young man named Chris. Chris was sitting at the bar and was noticeably intoxicated. He was at the bar with two other guests who were also drinking heavily. Keep in mind this is before 6:00 on a Wednesday. They were having a political conversation that was getting more and more intense and involved language that should NEVER be spoken. They apparently noticed my discomfort with this, and starting hurtling insults my way, again using insults and language that are never appropriate. I explained that they were in a lobby bar/restaurant, and I would appreciate if they simply allowed me to enjoy my dinner which I was certainly paying for in peace and perhaps watch the language some. Well, now it was on, they were absolutely beyond nasty. The one man identified himself as the owner of the hotel...you are reading correctly, the owner of the hotel was drunk at 6:00, using language that would make most people very uncomfortable and verbally attacking a customer at HIS establishment. I promptly stood to leave and informed the bar tender that I was leaving and not paying my bill as I had barely touched it. Tim was the bartender and he was very professional and handled the situation well. The only person in this story who should be allowed to set foot on this property. I repeat do not dine here, stay here anything. God forbid I had my family with me. I can’t...

I think it was around $15.95 and came with a few side vegetables and mashed potatoes. The portion was quite small and l was still hungry about an hour later. The portions in the States are usually quite a bit bigger than in Canada so this wasn't typical of what usually happens when l eat out in the US. However, everyone else liked their meals. On a side note, there were 5 of us and we arrived at 1:25pm and the server immediately said to me "We close at 2pm" and seemed not too pleased that we had come so late. I said that we would be quick. I know that everyone can have a bad day but it felt very much like that she was just focused on her shift ending instead of on the customers. I ended up just tipping her 15% and l always tip more than 20% and that was because l felt that we had inconvenienced her by being there and customers should never feel that way. However, she had probably been on since the breakfast shift and maybe had things to do that day after work. I know it's hard to always pretend to be happy to see customers but it's a skill that great servers...
