Pretty terrible for a Fairfield. I spent ~40 nights here over 2 months and finally gave up after maintaining my Marriott rewards status for the year. I realize El Reno isn't a vacation destination so standards are inevitably lower, but, man I hated it here and will never return.
90% of guests here are O&G workers. Maybe this plays into the lack of hospitality, but it guarantees a lot of stomping around from 3-6am.
Front desk is awful. There is a younger guy and one lady who are quite nice and friendly. The rest of the people at the front desk have 0 hospitality or customer service skills. No hello, how are you, thanks for spending $5k at our hotel. Borderline hostile when asking simple questions or picking up a package I had delivered.
Pool has been closed all summer. Unless there's some catastrophic structural failure with the pool, this tells me owners just don't care to fix it.
Beds are terrible. Over those ~40 nights, I stayed in quite a few different rooms. EVERY bed has massive craters in it. Plus this location hasn't thought to provide outlets/USB ports anywhere near the bed (ie, on the end table). A minor inconvenience but, seriously, every super 8 and motel 6 has better sleeping arrangements than this.
Room service just shows up whenever they want to. Do not disturb sign? Irrelevant, time to clean. Leave that sign off for three days? They never show. They also do a poor job as I somehow had dead crickets in my room on the 2nd and 4th floors.
If you're just staying a night or two, I guess it's bearable, and certainly better prices than Yukon or...
Read moreWhile the room was clean, the hotel overall had several issues. I had purposely chosen a hotel with a pool so the family could have some “winter time swim time”. The pool is out of service. I was never informed of this. And I was informed it has been down for some time. So, movie time was decided for the next evening. Only to find the cable was not functioning. Zero family tv. Zero family pool time. Also noted the second night was a side exterior door that was unsafe. Making me not feel comfortable with the security of the building. Sleep was almost non existent that second night.
With this reservation, I joined the Bonvoy membership….after this experience, I doubt I will trust it enough to share my rare free time with family. It’s been a bust as far as...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed at your hotel last night. What a wonderful experience we had! We want to make sure that the powers that be know what a wonderful front desk host Evan was to us. He was so friendly and helpful. He is a great employee!! He made us a fresh canister of coffee when we got there after a 600 mile drive yesterday, and it was delicious. We asked him for an address for a local diner and he looked it up and wrote it down for us. He asked us to let him know if we needed anything. He even offered to make us more coffee later if we needed him to. Our room was impeccable and the bed was very comfortable! Thank you Fairfield Inn of El Reno, Oklahoma!!! You nailed all 5 Stars from the beginning to the end of our stay!!!! We highly...
