Motel 6 El Reno, OK — Hotel in El Reno

Our family of six was traveling from Arkansas to California when our car broke down three hours into our trip. We managed to make it to the Motel 6. Upon arrival, I explained our situation to the lady at the desk and was greeted with a warm smile and assurance that she could accommodate all of us in a room or multiple rooms. She showed us the room before we paid, which instantly eased our minds. Although we initially planned for a two-night stay, we ended up staying for five nights because no car rental companies had vehicles large enough for our family. Throughout our stay, every team member made us feel like VIP guests and assisted with whatever they could. We enjoyed the outdoor pool, where we spent most of the time. The location was fantastic, with major fast food chains such as Taco Bell, Arby's, McDonald's, Braum's and Pizza Places, as well as Walmart, a gas station, and Walgreens all within walking distance, which we fully enjoyed. Once we finally got a rental car the staff happily told us some cool places around El Reno to check and places to eat. Since we had been treated so well we decided to stay an extra night so we could explore. Small things that could have been better would have been the pictures showed there was a coffee station, didn’t find one. Along, with older TV’s but other then that we were safe and together and were treated amazingly. Our family has all agreed that we will be back just for the sake of it. Motel 6 doesn't have a great reputation for upkeep on their hotels but after reading the reviews, I thought I would give it a chance. Upon arrival I noticed the landscaping was nice and clean and no trash to be found. The lobby was spotless with a fresh pot of coffee available. The hotel staff throughout our stay was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Checkin and Checkout was quick and efficient. Our room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We asked for an additional blanket and it was supplied immediately. This location has a washer and dryer for guests and cost $1.50 for each (need quarters). Detergent can be purchased for $1 at the front desk. The laundry room was clean with the only thing missing was a trash can. There is no reason to spend more money at another hotel when you will have everything you need right here. Kudos to the management and staff.

Con: Liquid soap. The small hand soap is encased in plastic and was hard for my elderly sister to open. No shampoo or conditioner supplied but this is part of the value of the cheaper hotel so I didn't expect them to have it. Maybe they had some at...

I actually booked the Motel 6 my accident. I picked it by price and rating but thought it was another chain. I cannot say enough about how great this accident turned out to be. The staff was totally amazing and helpful. We checked in at 2 am by a cheerful employee who offered the kind of service of a major hotel in Vegas. I was concerned about getting coffee as the corporate letter I received stated it may not be available. When I spoke to the manager in the morning, he told me he always has coffee on, 24/7, just ask anytime. I asked for some spoons so we could eat our snacks, he handed me half a dozen and said, just let him know if he could get us anything else. I booked a second night and extended our trip as the room was so clean and comfortable and we knew we would appreciate the extra sleep before our drive home. Thank you so much for your great team!
