This was very good. I will say I did not eat much of the rice. It was ok but I am not a huge fan of rice so unless it is something really special it stays on my plate. The rest was all excellent. I rarely give 5 stars but considering the price was very reasonable, the service was excellent and food may not be a 5 star dining establishment quality but all rolled together for El Reno OK it is a 5 star. I had krab Rangoon's and they were excellent, the soup with the meal was tasty, the salad although not the dressing I would pick was very fresh and good, the filet and shrimp hibachi combination was really good. Filet was very tender and correctly cooked, it could have benefitted from a little beefier tasting meat but still a very good piece of meat. The shrimp were very well cooked and good considering we are no where close to a high quality seafood area. The veggies flat rocked. I could have made a meal out of those veggies and I am far from being a 'just veggies' guy. Veggies are generally something I eat but don't rave about. These were over the top for anyplace in my opinion. If this was DFW or Houston it may have only been a 4 or maybe even a solid 3. Even with that it is a place I would go back to even in those towns. Here it is definitely a solid 5. Ume, thank you for the best meal I have had here on this week long stay! Most likely will be back to work and will definitely...
Read moreTitle: good food. Pushy server, smelly detergents.
Enjoyed the food and the proximity of the hotels. But the server pushing me to expensive courses, and the restaurant using a super strongly smelled chemical for cleaning, left a bad taste in my mouth. Which is unfortunate, since the food and general service other than this aspect were great.
More details:
i won’t take any advice from the waitress. She constantly tried selling me the expensive options to inflate the bill, which she succeeded at the first round - and failed on the next ones. For example, I asked where are salmon rolls on the menu, and kept getting directed to some expensive options. I had to really “work” on her to find the good old salmon-avocado roll, which is priced at the more affordable $6.25 - compare to her recommended roll $14…. Or, following a recent review here, I asked for which of the sushi has the freshest fish. She recommended one of the their more expensive options (again, $14 roll), that had mix of fish - all of them available in rolls costing about $6 a roll. And thus my bill for a solo dinner ended...
Read moreI really hate to make this review but the food I got was just terrible, I ordered a special roll and salmon roll and some sashimi. I had to throw away most of it because it just tastes like chemicals. I used to eat here at least 3 times a week when I would work out of el Reno always delicious and super tasty. Used to get 2 special rolls and spend about 80 dollars a week here frequently. A couple nights ago I got what I used to get plus a little bit of sashimi. I ended up throwing away all of the sashimi and actually spat it out because it burnt my tongue almost. Was not pleasant. I threw away most of my salmon roll as it also tasted like chemicals. The special roll was pretty decent but definitely not what this place used to be. Hopefully in the future this changed I’m honestly a bit scared to spend my money here again. I love raw sushi and lately have been eating in either mustang or in the city but I returned to el Reno to work and was eager to try ume again. Disappointed but I hope it...
