We stayed at McGregor Mountain Lodge on the weekend of 3/6/20-3/8/20. My family of three and one dog stayed in their one bedroom Columbine #3 cabin. We had had a couple of tough weeks with both of us adults sick and our 13 year old son left to keep the house running. To make matters worse, our old dog had to be put down after an illness as well. When we asked our son if he'd like to do anything in particular on the weekend, he replied that he wanted a weekend in Estes at a cabin with a hot tub. Well, you know what, we started calling around and ended up talking with Lacey at McGregor. On Thursday evening, she booked our cabin, reserved the hot tub for us, and had our reservations all taken care of in a quick and efficient phone call. Having never stayed there, the website did a great job of showing us the cabin and giving us an overview of the property as well. When we rolled into town on Friday night, everything was ready for our arrival. The bed was comfortable, the cabin clean, and they had a whole box of firewood ready for the fireplace even! We lounged in the facility's hot tub that night and munched on their homebaked chocolate chip cookies. The next day we enjoyed Estes Park, but we were so enamored with our little cabin that we decided an evening in as a family would be our most fun. We made snacks in the cabin's little kitchen area, watched movies, and played Uno. By the time our Sunday departure rolled around, we were all sad to leave. McGregor Mountain Lodge's people went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The cabins were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff checked in with us regularly throughout our stay making sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely come back and stay here again this summer. It's the perfect, pet-friendly little place for families to come and enjoy the mountains. We left with our spirits renewed and our hearts happy thanks to our new friends at McGregor Mountain Lodge. I would recommend them without hesitation and look forward to our return this summer. We especially loved the regular visits from Samantha, the facility's charming Newfounland dog who likes to share her love with...

McGregor Mountain Lodge has been amazing. My husband and I came to celebrate our ten year anniversary and we could not have felt more celebrated or welcomed. They made our whole experience so lovely. The staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. The cabin was clean, just the right amount of rustic, and the kitchenette had everything we needed to not have to eat in a restaurant for every single meal. We had a fire place, a little table for eating, a living area, kitchenette, and bed nook. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Windows everywhere to take in the view from our cabin, and a wonderful little porch to sit on and enjoy the view and the sounds of nature around us. The office has hot drinks, cookies, a great seating area where you can read or just relax or have some friendly conversation with staff and other guests, if you choose. There's a hot tub on site that your can reserve so it's just for you; you're not sharing with everyone on site, making it feel very private and comfortable. In short, we could not have enjoyed our stay more. We will definitely be back to McGregor and I'd heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Estes Park. It's also right outside of RMNP so you're basically right next door to one beautiful state park. Already looking to come back in the fall when the elk...

Another great stay at McGregor Mountain Lodge. This is our 4th time at McGregor. We stayed in the Cedar Lodge A and B. I mistakenly thought I booked both A and B, but it turns out I only booked A. The front desk person and the owner were great because they allowed us to have both A and B. Our friends, who were here for their first time, loved the coziness and cleanliness of Cedar Lodge. We stayed 2 nights and we had a fantastic time. The last time we were here was in April 2024, but this time we were surprised by all the updates to Cedar Lodge cabin. Both A and B have a Keurig machine with a variety of pods and they updated the TVs and system. They also had different bedding, which are wonderful. We hope all these updates were made throughout the property. Since we started coming to Estes Park, we've stayed at McGregor, except for one time when we had to stay at their sister property, Castle Mountain Lodge, because McGregor's Cedar Lodge options were booked. We plan to stay at McGregor whenever we are in Estes Park. The other great thing about McGregor is that RMNP Fall River Entrance is just 1 mile away! You can take a wonderful scenic drive from this entrance all the way to the Bear Lake Corridor. which is closer to RMNP Beaver...

I am obsessed with this place and want to come back!! It is an amazing romantic getaway place. The place itself was clean and very cute. The main lobby area was awesome with fresh cookies and coffee and also had movies, books, and games to check out and the staff were awesome. We went early-mid May and it snowed heavily our first 1-2 days there so being able to stay indoors with movies and games and such a beautiful view outside was perfect. The location was literally right outside an entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and it was SO serene. It is further into the mountains than the town of Estes Park is, though, so you won't be able to walk to stores or restaurants; everything was only a 5-10 min drive away though so it was easy to get around. We also booked the Sweetheart Package and it was absolutely worth it (I often don't find many packages like this worth it so I don't say this lightly!), I'd get that again for sure. I'm not someone who repeats trips but I am really wanting to come back here!

AMAZING! I did so much research on all the lodges close by—this was definitely by far the best deal especially for all the fun amenities. We stayed in cabin #4–beautiful views and so close to the entrance of RMNP. The small details are what we loved the most—Lacey at the front desk was absolutely amazing, everything from giving us multiple suggestions for which hikes to go on, to hooking us up with our snow shoe rentals and free cookies, to showering our entire cabin with rose petals for a birthday!! She was so sweet. We loved the weekday deal that came with unlimited firewood bc we love ourselves a fireplace & had a fire going for almost 8 hours! It was so quiet and quaint. The jetted tub was a huge selling point for us too as we needed the spa treatment after a long day of hiking! We will hopefully be back as we have already told our friends about this place!

My husband and I booked this place for our weekend getaway to Estes Park. When we arrived the front staff was friendly and check in was easy. We adored our little cabin and had great views through the front window. I don't think I've been in a hotel or rental that was as clean as our cabin was. Floors, bed, and cooking equipment were all spotless. They had everything you needed from cups, plates, cooking utensils to free cookies in the lobby. The hot tub was also extremely clean and we liked that you had to reserve a time to use it so there wasn't any overcrowding and allowed for a more intimate experience. The location was only a few minutes from the entrance of the park and a few minutes further to Estes Village. We'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Estes Park. We will most definitely be returning!
