Riverwood On Fall River — Hotel in Estes Park

I had called and made a reservation using a $20 off promotion that was sent to me by a friend. I made the booking over the phone and was told I'd receive a confirmation email. I then received an email asking me to call back. When I did I spoke with the office manager, Bonnie, who then told me the promotion was only for returning guest. She told me the fee would be the regular rate and when I asked if she'd be willing to work with me she said no and the promotion was non transferable. I told her to cancel my reservation and I'd look else where. At that point she hung up on me.

I called back the next day to explain my frustration with being hung up and being told my reservation price was not valid. I also explained how I felt the whole situation was unprofessional. She told me she didn't hang up on me and the reservation was never originally made. I asked if she'd be willing to work with me to keep my business and she offered me $10 off the regular room rate. When I said I'd like $30 off she told me that was not possible. She was difficult and unwilling to work with me even though I had an overall poor experience. If someone is unwilling to give $30 off to keep a persons business then I feel they are not going to deliver great customer services either. In a market like estes where there are hundreds of lodging options I'd think businesses would try harder to keep what referral they can I would not suggest this facility nor will I...

Not the best Review of RiverWood on Fall River Pending review The location and space were nice and allowed our family of 4 adults to stay comfortably. Having stayed at either hotels or lovely, thoughtfully stocked Airbnbs for the past 3-4 years, however, I was quite disappointed in this condo stay. So much maintenance needed. The downstairs shower didn't work at all, the microwave did not work at all, the pathway lights to the front door were broken and just lying there, several of the window mechanisms were broken, the office was closed at 9:30 am despite saying it being listed open hours, the pillows were old and stale, the kitchen was not well stocked at all (no regular medium-sized saucepan, no spatula, no baggies/foil/wrap), the stove lights did not work, the gas grill would not light, except by hand with a lighter and it was filthy, and the chandelier over the dining table was filled with dead bugs. I'm only giving this property 3 stars rather than 2 because there were some nice things. Comfortable enough beds and couches, large space, good location, they provided 4 sleds we used. I think the properties are privately owned, so I am sure other condos in the same place may be much nicer. The price was reasonable given the...
