I have tried to just let this go but I can’t put my recent experience at this hotel out of my head. I have stayed at this hotel four nights in the past year for business travel. The staff was very nice and the hotel is new and clean. I have also used their conference room which is nice. On November 23rd I needed to meet very briefly with a client in Farmington. I was traveling through town but not staying the night. I asked my client to meet me in the lobby. My client and her husband are Navajo. As soon as we entered and sat down in the lobby the manager informed us we could not meet there. I told her it would not take long and that I had stayed at the hotel several times since it opened. She asked who I worked for and I told her. She came back five minutes later to tell me her records didn’t show I stayed at the hotel more than two nights. She then asked when we were going to be done because she claimed she had group coming in 15 minutes that was going to use the lobby. I left abruptly with my client at this point not wanting to be interrogated and harassed any more. No group showed up, at least not in the 30 minutes after I left. I travel quite a bit. I often use hotel lobbies as a place to do quick business both when I am staying there and when I am passing through. I have never been treated this way by any hotel manager or staff. I feel we were asked to leave primarily because my clients were Navajo. Even if it was not racially motivated, we were treated very poorly. Anyway that was my experience and I will not be staying there this week when I am back in Farmington or ever again. I recommend the Towne place suites, courtyard Marriott or Hampton Inn if you are looking...
Read moreRoom was very crowded for having a King sized bed. Felt very cramped and it was just my wife and I. There was only one chair to sit, so we couldn't even relax in the room, basically only enough room to sleep.||Breakfast food was not good at all. We were there 3 nights, the first morning I got downstairs about 15 minutes to close, which was my justification why there wasn't any food left and no cream for coffee. Only bread was bagels and muffins. Eggs were watery and runny.|Second morning I made it early and found the sausage was like boiled, certainly not fried or cooked properly. Eggs watery and runny and no bread only bages and muffins, coffee was there but half and half container empty, 2% milk was empty and they had some sort of Oat milk, which I was not interested in.|Third morning I mad it early and found the bacon was pretty much raw, looked like it was boiled, didn't even attempt to get sick. Bread options didn't change, and coffee was cold.|Number one thing I found on day one, was one of the elevators of the two was out of commission. The entire stay was a pain as we were on the 4th floor.||One morning the elevator came to the 4th floor to pick us up an we found a cleaning lady in there with here big yellow cart. The cleaning lady immediately pressed the button to close the door on us. |I reached in to stop the door from closing and asked her what she thought she was doing. She replied "I have work" and I responded I am the customer and I'm getting on this elevator.||I'm a Marriot rewards member and have been for 30+ years, this was one of the worse stays of...
Read moreI stay in hotels 1-2 weeks a month due to business. So I’m quite accustomed living out of a bag and different hotel beds on a regular basis. Over time I’ve found a particular chain of hotels that I prefer but noticed the quality varies from locations. In this circumstance I decided to try a different chain than normal because I was looking for a little more comfort than my normal chain offers in this area. This was actually my second time I’ve stayed at this particular hotel in the last 7-8 months. My first stay was no different than this stay, and my concerns were the same, that’s why I felt it was necessary to write this review.
So the staff was great, friendly and professional, the availability and booking of the room was great, the price on this stay was a lot more than last due to the season. Breakfast and all other amenities were spot on, what ruined my stay was the extremely poor cleanliness and maintenance of the bathroom in my room. It was so bad I did not feel comfortable using it. This was right in line with my last stay, although it was a different room. It was bad enough that I took a few pictures in case anyone would like to see them.
I would never write a review to damage the reputation of a business, I don’t feel that does anyone any good. I wrote this review only to give the management an opportunity to improve their business. I would have no problem staying there again is I was assured the issue had...
