Sparkling beautiful new hotel on tranquil Fenwick Island! Deserves the 4.5 rating if not higher….my 5 stars is based on the comparison to other options from North OC through Bethany. The ‘sunset view’ suite was surprisingly large and worth the upcharge with a nice kitchen and bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here and will recommend to others and will return. A couple of logistics tips and random thoughts: -a bit tight but our Suburban fit under the building…loved the close and shaded parking (yes there is a daily fee). -Note that the hotel is on Coastal Highway and not quite oceanfront and not quite on the edge of the bay. It’s pricey to not be waterfront so weigh it out based on your needs/wants. Still, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony for sunset and enjoyed the very short walk to the beach. The island is narrow so you have limited views of both. -We ate a late dinner in the hotel one night for convenience. The food and drinks were actually very good and served quickly (pricing is commensurate). -Try Jimmy’s Restaurant for breakfast and Our Harvest for dinner…both very close and phenomenal! -We really enjoyed the pool (8a-8p). It is heated but it’s refreshing….it’s not a hot tub. Perfect for hot summer days and warm evenings. -The beach is a very short walk and is beautiful and never crowded as the hotel is surrounded by beach houses in a serene neighborhood (nice option for a walk/jog). -One word of caution (and this is out of Hilton’s control so I kept my 5 star rating)….at least around high tide, the steep slope and big drop in the surf zone is challenging. Maybe low tide is better (never saw low tide). If you just want to sit/walk/fish and otherwise enjoy the beach - not a problem. Beautiful. Once the next big tide or storm fixes this temporary situation, this hotel is just about perfect for us. (May 2023 Update- beach replenishment project this month should fix this issue). -The hotel was very quiet and the beds were great. Even the pull out couch/bed was pretty decent for a teenager (not me). The rooms were as dark as desired - we all slept soundly. Bring your own pillow (I didn’t care for the soft pillows) and maybe a roll of paper towels for the kitchen. They offer a big refrigerator and a Keurig with a mix of 6 pods. Nice. We were there over a bustling and hot, late August weekend and the hotel never felt packed. After an earlier trip this summer to a hulking, crowded, and rundown hotel, we loved the intimate and fresh yet laid-back vibe….very enjoyable and very relaxing. -Update: we stayed here again in April 2023…great (and cheap) in the off-season as well!

Firstly let me say this Hotel was in a great location, parking was great, lobby was beautiful (great coffee), staff were pleasant, pool was great, just a pretty family friendly hotel in a great town. We spent a few nights in Fenwick Island, just one night in this Hotel - room 225. On entering the room my first impression was WOW! Very well designed and laid out, nice furniture, pretty decor, etc. But on closer inspection just from using the room and the facilities, I began to notice the cleanliness of the room - it wasn't good. The bathroom was really gross, hair, mold and gunk in the shower door tracks (see photos). My Husband took a shower and I cleaned up the water he left on the floor and the towel I used to wipe the floor was black, totally gross!!!! The baseboard in the bathroom was made of tile and also covered in gunk, dust, hair, I mean Yuk! (see photos) mirror was all rusty, after noticing this I closely checked out the rest of the room. As you can see from the photos, all the floors in the living space were horrible, dirty, stained, they were certainly not mopped before our arrival. The walls were all scuffed and dust was on everything. For around $400/night this is non existent level of cleanliness is not good enough. Housekeeping needs retrained and reprimanded for this. There was an envelope in the room left by housekeeping for us to put a tip in. That was a little tacky and I left nothing as she definitely did NOT do her job properly. We are big tippers if warranted and by not taking care to do the job properly the person who serviced out room just did herself out of a tip. We wouldn't stay here again because of this and it's a real shame as this is a great hotel. ***Update we were given a full refund for our stay, we spoke to Madelyn who was lovely. She assured us that cleaning staff would be told about our experience and because she was so lovely we would consider staying here again, thank you.

Quaint and beach themed, this two-story Hilton hotel is situated off the main Coastal Highway. Parking is convenient but $15 a night will be tacked on to your bill. Hotel has a newish feel to it and hasn't yet experienced the wear and tear of other beachfront properties. The rooftop bar (on the 2nd floor) offers quick bites and local brews with views of the beach dunes. There really aren't "Ocean View" rooms but no matter, rarely crowded Fenwick beach is but a stone's throw away. Get a room on the bay side if you're looking for stunning summer sunsets. Gold and Diamond Hilton members receive a $36 credit per day for food/drink as their benefit. Food can take a long time to be prepared and isn't anything special. I'd recommend going somewhere else for breakfast or dinner unless you have credits to burn. Drinks at the pool bar are a good use of the $36 benefit. The current bartender, Jason, is a super friendly dude. Although small, this hotel is on a quieter part of the beach and offers a reprieve from the crowds of Ocean City. Bethany's boardwalk is also a short 10 minute drive north. For a quick breakfast and coffee on your way out, head to HighTide one minute down the road.

We have been visiting the Delmarva peninsula for over 20 years, usually staying at The Bay Resort in Dewey Beach. They're under new management since last year, I decided to stay in Fenwick Island after discovering the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The hotel is located on Coastal Highway/Rt 1, rooms w/balconies located in the rear and on the side. A very short walk to the beach, with places to eat, shop and fun activities along Route 1, all within walking distance; the same in Dewey but Fenwick offers a wider variety of businesses. The hotel has a poolside bar, Shipwrecked and a restaurant and bar, Mooncussers in the lobby. There is plenty of undercover parking (keeps the car cool), and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. The rooms are really nice, spacious and comfortable; my balcony provided a glimpse of the ocean.

Hot coffee, tea and water are available daily in the lobby. Diamond and Gold Hilton Honors members receive a $30 food credit, drinks are 1/2 price during happy hour. The food was decent, enjoyed the flatbread pizza and the chicken marsala although a little salty, it came with mashed potatoes and grilled squash, both were delicious; the Ceasar salad was drenched in Italian dressing w/specks of Romano cheese but no shaved parmesan cheese, sigh. Breakfast options are limited to continental small plates, hot selections included waffles but no scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, toasts, etc. I brought breakfast food to microwave. The entire front desk staff were friendly and helpful; Travis and Linda worked the bar at Mooncussers were great.

I visited the Delaware Botanical Gardens, less than a 30 minute drive, an interesting placed, learned their mission focuses on aligning with the environment and waterways...very peaceful. The trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Tanger Outlets, sadly several stores have closed due to the pandemic and the shelves were practically bare at Sketchers, the sales clerk indicated the merchandise was stuck on the docks waiting to be delivered. Although aware of the shipping issues impacting the country, it hit home in real time.

I would definitely stay here again, Fenwick Island and Fenwick Shores is now our new place to stay, I highly...

The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I was not impressed with their customer service. For my wedding we chose to hold a block at the Fenwick Shores and book our suites for our wedding night. When the reservation for the suites was made, I communicated with the sales manager I would be having a makeup artist come to my suite for services along with 6 bridesmaids. She advised the room was not spacious enough for that many people and our things - so she offered the meeting room. She went as far as taking photos of the room and confirming via email we would have the conference room to get ready in, and the bridesmaids could keep their things in my suite. She mentioned there would be a $250 cleaning fee and that was it. The morning of my wedding my girls and I went to the conference room and started to get ready. My makeup and hair people came and set up their things, it was great. UNTIL their staff came in at 7:30am to question why we were in the room because an event was booked for 8:00am. Their sales manager double booked the space, my girls and I had to pause getting ready to move elsewhere because of their incompetence. It delayed our timeline by 30 minutes and all Hilton Shores had to say was, “we’re sorry for the miscommunication” and kicked us out of the conference room. They handed us keys to the suite Next door, free of charge and called it a day. I did not expect a full refund by any means, but maybe a little more consideration. A discount on our suites to show the acknowledgement of their mess up? Considering we spent about $800 in total for our stay. I was informed the conference room had been booked for an entire YEAR for the event at 8:00am. Their sales manager showed complete lack of attention to detail and my wedding day was delayed because of it. She came to the room to verbally apologize which seemed completely disingenuous. I’m not impressed with their managing staff whatsoever and will...
