If you can avoid this hotel at all cost, try to find something else in the area even though it may cost a little bit more. This hotel is highly overpriced for the condition of the property in the rooms. I’m a reservation 10 days in advance with La Quinta. The dates that I was going to stay there for four nights I requested a room on the first floor the two double beds. I was told by the person that took the reservation over the phone which happened to be their corporate office they would put down my request and because I’m reserving early there should be no problem The day before I was to arrive I called personally the hotel talk to the front desk and again we went over my reservation and they said yes I see you want to be on the first floor in a double bed I will put that down there should be no problem. I have you set up for a late arrival. After they accepted my credit card for payment, I was told that the room I requested was unavailable but I had to have a room on the fourth floor with one king bed when I asked why wasn’t my room available for me when I requested, it was told I could get it I was I was told that it’s up to them at the time whether there’s available rooms or not, I was told if I wanted to check back the next morning if there was something else opening up that we could move down to the first floor if my room that I requested became available Next morning. I went to the front desk check with the girl and she asked me to check back with her at 11 o’clock as people were still checking out I checked back at 11:30 after we had breakfast at McDonald’s next-door and was told that there were no rooms available on the first floor even though I could see people leaving their rooms on the first floor with their luggage and walking out the door that are cars. I was told that I would have to have either the room they gave me or I could move to another room on the third or second floor I said well what’s the sense of that if I can’t get the first floor and I’ll just stay where I am Which I did on our last night stay we had to go down to the keys for a funeral. We were gone all day got back at around 10 and found out that our room had not been cleaned or serviced I went down to the front desk and set up. I’ve been here now going on four days. Why was my room not clean The woman looked me up and act like she didn’t even know that I’ve been staying there. She said she’s sorry there’s no maid on service now, but you could have fresh towels, I said, but you have garbage overflowing in both garbage cans in the room, which have unfortunately had food in them because we ordered to go, and there are no garbage cans outside the hallway to put these things in the room smells like Rotten food. We have no clean sheets on the bed and again you’re giving me just two towels and a washcloth that’s supposed to make up for the cost of the room which is happens to be over $100 a day when you guys for some reason could not see that there was someone staying in that room and that needed to be SERVICE, she said there’s no manager on duty now you’ll have to check back in the morning when you check out to talk to GM and see if she could adjust your rate of your room to compensate your lousy service you received, and she actually used those words the lousy received from them when I checked out, I was told that the girl aren’t doing it was not the general manager that she cannot do anything for adjusted the cost of my room for what was done and that she just could say that she was sorry so this just happened to me two days ago as of this date again I say if you do not need to personally stay there for some reason do not go to this hotel I stated probably 15 to 25 La Quinta across the country and I’ve never had a problem, but the buildings happen to be an older property or brand new. I’m actually staying in one hotel right now in Tifton, Georgia operated by La Quinta, perfect no problems friendly staff rooms are clean anything that you need they’re there...
Read moreI booked this room for my driver and spoke to a nice young lady earlier in the day and informed her as well as documented it in the reservation that the room was being reserved for my driver and she sent me a credit card authorization form. The form was filled out completely and emailed back, but the front desk clerk had not even checked the email prior to my driver arriving. My driver arrived and Stenio at the front desk would not allow him to check in because the credit card that's on my membership card does not have my business name on it but the name on my profile, card and ID matched. I tried to explain to him that I use the same card at other Wydham properties and have never had any other issues prior to that location. He said, that they don't take personal credit cards just business cards, so I guess he has the authority to tell me what is my business credit card and how to set up my business in order to book a room at a $72 a night hotel. I asked him whose business is it his or mine? If the card that I sent is for my business he can't demand for my credit cards to have my business name on it. I have another business card that doesn't have my business name on it just my personal name. I had to cancel my reservation and find somewhere else for my driver to stay in the middle of the night, because unfortunately the corporate office was closed. I will be speaking with the cooperate office concerning this issue because that is ridiculous. What is the point of the authorization form if they are going to tell you what the card has to say outside of the owners name, like they can control someone else's business or force the bank to put on the card what they want. I reserved a room with that same card at another LaQuinta location as well as other Wyndham properties and there weren't any issues just this guy wanted to be an iodiot. I even sent him the previous authorization form that was used for another property that had the same information that was emailed, but I guess he just couldn't be proven wrong. I had issues with another LaQuinta being overbooked and I put cooperate on alert about how they were managing that property so I guess I will be back at it in the morning. I normally don't book my driver at a low grade hotels like this, normally try to avoid LaQuinta because most of their locations are not the greatest quality, but I didn't want to spend alot of money on a room for a couple of hours because he was arriving late. I guess you get what you pay for. Just wanted to share our experience so maybe it will help someone else avoid this place unless you have time to look around in the middle of the night for another room because of someone that doesn't have common sense. I have read similar situations like this, but this is the last straw for me, I'm ready to cancel my membership and not deal with these properties as a whole anymore. Wyndham needs to get on top of their brand because it has definitely gone down in the past few years. They are run down and being operated with...
Read moreAt this LaQuinta hotel, On Cypress Creek in Fort Lauderdale, I had a predatory experience that left me mortified. I was in my hotel room, standing in front of the mirror flossing my teeth in the bathroom, unclothed, as the bathroom door remained wide open. Since I was by myself, I didn't give it much thought. It was around 10:30am. Checkout wasn't until 11:00am. As I stood there FULLY bare, a woman who works for the LaQuinta opens the front entrance door. Yes, she saw every private part of the mines. I WAS EMBARRASSED!!!! My eyes flew open and I ran behind the door while screaming what she was doing in my room. My check-out time wasn't up yet. The response she gave was, "Opps, you're checking out today, aren't you?". This is at 10:30am in the morning. She had no business coming into my room. She claimed she knocked, but that was false!!! I immediately called downstairs to express my frustration and demand I immediately talk to management. The front desk employee told me to go downstairs and talk to management. When I walked downstairs, I waited for management, and it was the worst experience of my life. He didn't care that one of his workers walked in on me fully bare without warning. He basically said, IT IS WHAT IT IS and THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. By that point, I was so disgusted by his passive aggressive response, I couldn't believe what I was dealing with. I asked to speak with his boss, and his response was I AM THE BOSS. When I said no, I wanted to speak with someone over you, he simply stated that there was no one over him. In a way, it was almost as if he trained all his cleaning employees to enter guest hotel rooms and claim they didn't know anyone was inside.. To so all resolve issue, he refunded my night stay. Sir, that's it???? Really??? This is it?? Your employee walked into my room, Saw my private parts, and all you did to rectify the situation was refunded my night stay. No 3-4 week hotel complimentary stay, nothing, just shrug your shoulders, changed my room, and refunded my night. WHAT ASHAMED!!!! WHAT A HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL LOW LIFE GENERAL MANAGER. I WAS BEYOND DISGUSTED. I went upstairs and broke down in tears. Never in my life have I felt so violated. Since he gave me HIS business card with a fake non-working website, and told me he had no boss over him because he was the general manager, I immediately called WYNDAM HOTELS to share my horrific experience. I received a confirmation number from Wyndham about this case, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. I am telling you now, I will stop until somebody calls me and rectify this nightmare issue. I am working on a social media campaign to let all my 100,000 social media followers know about this horrific experience I had at LaQuinta on Cypress Creek. PLEASE stay away from this hotel if you can--PLEASE!!!! If you have any questions, my em ail is:...
