Got to spend a few days with at Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale at Cypress Creek and enjoyed my time there! My stay was during the week and I left on a Saturday; the hotel was quite empty, but fairly full on Friday & Saturday. Overall I'm happy with the experience and would be willing to stay again. Checking in Process: The check-in process was a tad slow. My flight in was during the evening and when I arrived at the hotel it was about 20 minutes until someone showed up to the front desk to check me in. I did expect to wait a bit showing up in the evening (10pm). Reviewing the Room: The room was clean, but looked a bit beat up. Some dresser handles were damaged, the bottoms of the walls were all scuffed and there were dents & dings from the expected peak season. Overall the design of the room was cute & can be made so two groups (about 6) can reside in the same space with a door separating 4:2. The bathroom has a barn door style and there’s opaque glass on the door that can show your silhouette if you get too close. Even though the space can sleep 6, we had to request towels since only 2 were inside. My room had a double queen bed available with a pull-out couch bed; I was surprised with how comfortable the couch bed was. Although my room had full size Shampoo & Lotion in the bathroom, the room adjacent to mine did not have that as well. Food at Hotel: The hotel food was okay. I was only able to stop by for breakfast and ordered scrambled eggs, sausage (it’s turkey), hash browns (it was actually a hash patty), and toast. It’s priced reasonably, but you could get food nearby at the same price with a bit more options. The staff at breakfast was lovely and super attentive to our needs. Parking at Hotel: There was a ton of parking available when I arrived. The parking lot isn’t well lit so I didn’t get a proper view until the next morning. As long as you have a paper guest pass on your windshield you should be good. The Extras: The gym was nice! There are signs that limit use to 30 minutes, but I didn’t see anyone else around while I was in there. There are sanitizing wipes accessible so you can clean the machines before & after use. The gym room was clean, but the freestanding water dispenser was empty. The pool was nice too, but I didn't have a chance to take a dip. Staff: Every encounter with the staff was pleasant. Everyone was so kind and answered any questions I had about where to find things. Everyone seemed busy, but didn’t let it affect their professionalism. There was only one bartender on sight every night I was there & she was so kind. Safety Precautions: Because of the safety precautions for staff during the pandemic, some amenities need to be requested and aren’t just given to you. It’s reasonable, but it does take some pre-planning depending on what you need. When requesting towels, toilet paper, or small room items you must go to the front desk. Housekeeping will only clean your room upon prior 24 hour request and no persons or pets are allowed inside during that time. Some of the staff was wearing masks still.

To be clear, the ONLY reason this place is not getting one star is because the atrium/lobby was nice and the location was close to the FLL airport and the interstate for easy transport. Everything else about the hotel was a tragedy. We stayed in the hotel for four nights for a wedding, and the hotel was actually very well equipped to handle a big event. The atrium had plenty of space to serve food and the various conference rooms worked very well as reception areas, and the hotel waitstaff was friendly and attentive to whatever was needed by the large amount of guests. If you’re thinking of having an event here, it works really well as long as you don’t stay in the hotel itself. Major issues that weren’t related to our room were that one of the main lobby elevators had a panel open which exposed electronics, which wouldn’t be an issue if the elevator didn’t violently shake every time it opened. It actually made me check when the last time the elevator was inspected (I mean like who does that) and the inspection expired over 7 months ago. I checked the other elevator and it had expired in 2017!!! The other major issue was that we had arrived one day early and we asked to add one night to our stay before our weekend reservation and it took almost half an hour just to add one night, and they charged us twice for our three night reservation and added two extra days to our reservation (???). Theres too many things about our stay to list, so I’ll keep it to the major things. We were booked into a handicapped room at first, and the bed frame basically caved in when I first sat on it. I don’t think a handicapped person would appreciate that happening but maybe thats just me. We asked to change to a standard room so we wouldn’t be taking up a HC room, but they put us one floor down into another HC room, so we had to change rooms again (after the person at the front desk made sure to gaslight us that we had actually asked for a HC room). Once we got to our room for the weekend, we found that nothing really worked. Half the lights flickered, the toilet paper holder would fall every time it was touched, the tv would refuse to play audio from your phone after a bluetooth pairing, the door separating the lounge from the bedroom wouldn’t close, the thermostat didn’t work, and I’m actively choosing to stop listing things here because there’s simply too many small things. There are no outlets on the nightstand which is standard in every hotel I have ever been in, so to charge your phone near the bed I had to either unplug the lamp or the room phone. You can get the same amount of amenities we got from our room at a motel 6 for less than half the price. TLDR: The wedding was beautiful in the space the hotel had, everything else was ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)

I stayed for three nights at this hotel. When I arrived, I was immediately acknowledged, thanked for my platinum status, and welcomed in. Even though I arrived at 230 and the check-in time was 4, I was still given my room key and upgraded to the club level suite on the 7th floor.

When I arrived at my room, I noticed it was cleaner than last year I visited and better kept. The living room had a nice TV with ample channels. The sofa was clean and comfortable, and there was a small dining table with chairs. A fridge and microwave were available, as well as a coffee maker and sink. The bedroom had a king bed with a generous amount of pillows, another TV, small work area, and even a balcony. The bed was pretty comfortable with the down pillow, but alternative pillows were also provided. I didn't watch TV from the bedroom, and enjoyed the living room instead. The AC worked nicely and kept my room cool. There was a closet and cabinet, and I did recall seeing a safe as well. The living room and bedroom area was spacious and had a door as well.

The bathroom was small, but still nice. The sink area had travel sized soap and lotion from gilchrist and soames, which smelled nice. The shower felt heavenly with a good water pressure and perfect temperature. The towels provided were good. The toilet was clean.

The lobby area reminds me of Embassy Suites. There are waterfalls near the restaurant area. Glass elevators take you to the rooms. While you can hear the waterfall and background music from the living room, it is inaudible from the bedroom. The gym has various equipment for everyone, and I used mostly the bike and yoga balls. The pool is large, but I didn't use it. The restaurant has a nice happy hour every day with some food and drinks for 5.55.

As a platinum member, I had access to the Sheraton club lounge, which had two computers, a TV, and various food and drink offerings. Breakfast was provided, and had ample offerings. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes every day. There were also muffins and other pastries. Coffee was from Starbucks. During the evening, appetizers were offered, and desserts later on. I really enjoyed the crab cake, chicken nuggets, and quesadillas. The chocolate cake for dessert was nice too. The attendants were very friendly and helpful. The club access is only for platinum members or higher unless you are willing to pay extra money.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shout-out to Roger, Cristina, Brianna, Jalela, and Michael for making my stay excellent.

For only 105 per night after taxes, this was a great deal. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the lobby was inviting, and the staff were great. This is a nice all suites hotel to stay in the...
