Today I had one of the worst restaurant experience ever going out for lunch. My son and I picked this restaurant for his lunch break, because he was going to be working near by and it's always an excellent idea to meet him for lunch. I sat on a table for 2, but about 2 feet away it was a table for six , and I moved there to get a better view of the TV,. When the only waiter with a funny mustache came back, told me in a very rude way, that I CAN NOT SIT THERE, I couldn't believe it!. I can understand that it was a bigger table, but I can not understand the way he was talking to me, he never took a customer service class, that's for sure. Then I placed an order for me and my son. When my son's order came back it was wrong and the waiter instead of offering an apology told me that that's what I ordered, in other words calling me a lier, but he was going to change it anyway, like he was doing me a favor about correcting his mistake. To make matters worst the chef came out, but not to offer an apology, he was doing something else, so I ask him are you the owner? He said YES, well I said your waiter has a terrible actitud , and then he said, well if you place the wrong order it's not his fault. Unbelievable!! and he kept saying if you don't want to pay for your food I will give it to you for FREE, which I said NO, it's not about paying or not, it's about the way YOU BOTH ARE HANDLING THIS, I CAN PAY FOR MY FOOD and then he kept saying that I came in a BAD MOOD to his restaurant and because of that I was taking advantage of them. In the mean time he KEPT apologizing to the other 2 tables, telling them I'M SORRY BUT SOMETIMES YOU GET THIS TYPE OF PEOPLE, WHAT CAN I DO, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, Making me feel that I was a trouble maker and NUTS,. I never felt so humilated,.By the way, I could hardly touch my food, because I lost my apetite already. I hope that saving that table for 6 people on Monday, that never filled up of course., was worth it, BUT ME, I will never set up a foot in there ! AND THIS IS FOR YOU THE CHEF AND OWNER PLUS YOUR WAITER, YOU ARE IN AMERICA AND HERE THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, EVEN IF IT'S NOT. OTHERWISE, YOU NEED TO TAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASS URGENT!!
Sept. 6th. 2025 I just noticed your reply. First of all you are not answering to me in english, not because I'm peruvian, I think is because you probably can't, or even who knows if you can speak it, but that's not the matter here, my complaint is about the rudeness from both of you, you and your waiter Patricio, now I know his name, that's why I described him referring to his mustache, I didn't know he's the only waiter you have anyway. Because that's all the STAFF you have, just the 2 of you, is a smalI restaurant, pretty tight by the way, that's why the table for 6, it was like a feet away from my table. And DON't LIE saying that I came in and wanted to sit in a table for 6 right away, as I said I was sitting in a table for 2, but because of a litter better view of the TV I moved to the next chair a feet away from me, which it happens to be a table for 6, again it's a pretty TIGHT RESTAURANT. my table it was almost at the entrance . When your only waiter came back WAS RUDE asking me to move back to my table and HE KEPT BEING RUDE TO ME THE WHOLE TIME, he wasn't POLITE as you said at all to me , again ANOTHER LIE, how you knew anyway if you were in the kitchen?Did he tell you he took the order wrong and he brought me another dish instead of the one I request? you also said that I'm a REGULAR at your Restaurant, ANOTHER LIE, this was maybe my third time at the most at your place, and I never complain before. You also said that I told my son don't leave a TIP, ANOTHER LIE, we paid separately and he had nothing to do with my problem, he arrived much later than me, and I didn't want to spoiled his appetite , how can you tell an adult what to do anyway. I have to mention also that when Patricio your only waiter was serving my son, he completely turned his back on me, how rudest can you be...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Ceviche Barrio in Fort Lauderdale, I knew I was in for something special. The first thing that hit me was the cleanliness of the space—it gleamed with a fresh, inviting ambiance, and the air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of authentic Spanish cuisine. The energy in the restaurant was immediately positive and contagious, and I could feel the passion behind every detail.
What struck me most was their clear commitment to excellence. This is not your average restaurant cutting corners with low-quality ingredients. No, Ceviche Barrio is dedicated to using only the freshest, highest-quality products, and it shows in every bite. The flavors were vibrant and meticulously balanced, elevating classic Spanish dishes to a whole new level.
And here’s the best part: this is a Spanish restaurant where you can confidently bring your pickiest American friends, and you won’t be embarrassed. So many places skimp on ingredients, resort to cheap shortcuts, or fill their dining rooms with uninspired furniture. But Ceviche Barrio is different—every aspect of the experience is thoughtfully crafted, from the warm and welcoming staff to the elegant yet comfortable decor.
While the location might not be in the trendiest part of town, the energy inside and the quality of the food make up for it tenfold. Honestly, it’s a hidden gem that deserves recognition. Ceviche Barrio has set a new standard, and I can’t...
Read moreIm honestly very disappointed at the service and food overall. The arroz con mariscos barely had seafood, it was yellow rice with veggies, service was really unpleasant. I’ve never been in a place where I have to ask for tártara when I order a jalea or sauces, the drinks were forgotten, having the owner there, they didn’t even give us corn .. but other people came in after us and they were served and welcomed differently. This is the second time I come and I will never come back. I cannot obviously compare this place to cevche 105 or La Mar where the service is amazing specially when the Owners are at the restaurant. While taking the order, I replaced a sprite for a cusqueña and the owners son rolled his eyes at me, he repeated the order and they brought another dish. I could add other stuff in my review but I’ll stop right there. This is the reason why I’ll continue going to the other restaurants mentioned before. Feeling bad that I have to express myself about a Peruvian restaurant when I like to support small businesses but I would give them a minus 50 stars if I could. If you are an owner and you are present in your own restaurant you should take care of your customers better. My two...
