When I walked in I immediately thought of those millennial restaurants where all of the food is overpriced. Then it’s served you think it looks really appetizing but once you actually eat it you think “I should have ordered something else” and try to swallow the half-chewed food in your mouth because you can’t stand the taste of it on your tongue. Here’s what we ordered and what I thought about it: the mac and cheese was so bland I thought it was just the mac without the cheese. I tried adding on massive amounts of salt in attempt to find some flavor in my meal. I was disappointed when there was a sprinkle of bread crumbs on it instead of the entire surface area being decently covered. The bread crumbs were like those Progresso canned bread crumbs—not even 4C! Also, a kids/smaller portion should be available. the onion and goat cheese pizza was absolutely drenched in balsamic dressing, you couldn’t even taste the other ingredients of the pizza. Quite honestly they should rename it balsamic soup because the pizza itself was only being used as a bowl for the dressing. the grilled cheese looked pathetic sitting on the plate. Although the grilled cheese looked very lonely on the plate (adding fries was another $5?!) it tasted the best out the whole meal, and it was only fine. Almost every meal was overpriced for how crappy it was and to add on a side made it even more expensive. The servers were nice, nothing wrong with their manners, but when we were obviously finished they would walk by us or even stand near us without asking if we would like anything else, if we wanted boxes, or if we wanted the check. The atmosphere was probably the most mediocre set up I’ve seen. There wasn’t really anything wrong with it but it doesn’t deserve a high rating because nothing stuck out to me. I wouldn’t come back to this restaurant. I wouldn’t think “I really miss the flavor of that mac and cheese” when I go home. I think I’m going to get some mac and cheese tomorrow that has any...
Read moreSo i walked in to this diner with my fiancée to meet with our wedding officiant. We asked for a table and decided to only get drinks. 20 minutes later... the tall, big and bald manager approaches our table and asks us to move from the table to the counter/bar area. We asked why and he said “because you are not ordering food”. Mind you, if the diner was full and we were holding up another party who actually wanted to order food, we can understand that and we will move with no problem. I am in the restaurant business myself so I know how to service customers. BUT the diner had 9 EMPTY tables. Yes, we literally counted all the EMPTY tables. Not even 5 minutes passed and we decided to actually order food just to be able to keep our table which we were comfortable in.. guess what ? Big bald manager says “you can order but you still have to move and go to the counter/bar area. He stood there like a bouncer rushing us to move. We were so embarrassed and the guests on the table to our left were in shock. We felt as we were being pranked for a moment. TERRIBLE service here by your manager. Im sure the food is good and all other employees were nice but the MANAGER is a terrible leader. If you are reading this you should be ashamed of yourself. I also want to apologize to the owners of this diner because I’m sure you guys wouldn’t allow this but this big and bad bald manager is not who you should have running this diner for you. I would not be coming back here and i’ll make sure I spread the word to my friends and family about this horrible experience my fiancée...
Read moreFood was ok wait staff was distracted with I dont know what, but drfinatelt wasnt us. The busser was much more attentive and personable with my family than anyone else, too bad he wasn't our waiter. 4 adults 2 appetizers, 2 pasta dishes, 1 burger, 1 chicken sandwich, 1 toddler grilled cheese. 2 flavored lemonade, 2 sodas, and 1 alcoholic beverage. The tab was over $150 before the tip. Was the food great? No. Was it bad? No. Were the orders right? No. 1 mistake on the chicken, (didn't come with a sauce it was supposed to have) and another 2 on the burger, (should have been medium, was well, and was supposed to have swiss cheese, came out with no cheese. So because our 19mo old (at the time) is in the phase of dropping and throwing his food on the floor, The busser was a very nice to us and assisted us thru the meal. I knew he was cleaning the mess because he wouldn't let us do it. So I left a generous tip. Did the waitress deserve that amount. No (not because of the food, just fot the attention she paid to my family and our table when there was only about 3 other tables in the entire place. If it was only her I would have given less. But since I know that tip is getting split between her, the busser, and the person making the drinks. I left it because they deserved it. Will we go back again, no. Sorry food was...
