I recently visited Chipotle with high hopes and an appetite for some tasty Mexican-inspired cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired, and I can confidently say that I won't be returning anytime soon.
First and foremost, the quality of the ingredients was severely lacking. The chicken I ordered tasted dry and overcooked, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The flavor was completely absent, and it felt like I was chewing on a tasteless piece of rubber. It's hard to believe that a supposedly reputable establishment could serve such subpar protein.
Moreover, the portion sizes were incredibly disappointing. I left the restaurant feeling hungry and unsatisfied, despite paying a substantial amount for my meal. The meager portion of rice and beans on my plate was simply not enough to constitute a satisfying lunch. It felt like Chipotle was trying to cut corners and save money at the expense of customer satisfaction.
The overall presentation of the food was also lackluster. My burrito was sloppily wrapped, with ingredients falling out at the slightest touch. The assembly seemed rushed and haphazard, leaving me with a messy and unappetizing eating experience. I expected better attention to detail, especially considering the prices they charge.
In terms of taste, the food was bland and uninspiring. The supposed flavor options fell short of their promises. The salsas and toppings lacked any real kick, and even after adding multiple options, my meal remained disappointingly dull. I couldn't help but feel like I could have achieved a more flavorful experience by simply making a burrito at home.
Lastly, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, making the entire dining experience feel impersonal. It was as if they were going through the motions without any genuine care for the satisfaction of their patrons. The lack of attentiveness and enthusiasm only added to my overall disappointment.
Overall, my visit to Chipotle was a letdown. From the tasteless and overcooked chicken to the stingy portion sizes, sloppy presentation, and lack of flavorful options, I was thoroughly unimpressed. With so many other options available for Mexican cuisine, I see no reason to give Chipotle another chance. Save your money and seek out a restaurant that truly delivers on taste, quality, and customer...
Read moreI usually get my take-out orders from the Closter location. The people who work there are very sweet, the food is always balanced, fresh and delicious. Tonight, my child asked if I can pick up Chipotle. I was in FL so the Linwood Plaza location popped up. I know that a lot of restaurants, especially chain restaurants, are sociologically tailored, but this was far beyond that... I walked in and was greeted with "whats your order?", by an obviously unhappy young man, to say the least, having to repeat my orders (2) several times, patiently; (one order was as plain as it gets; salad + regular chicken + white rice + Guac and chips. Both orders were simple containing same ingredients, none of which were ever spicy. The moment the food entered our mouth, tears poured down our faces, both of us turning red, unable to speak, we proceeded to spit the food out. Our mouths were on fire!!! We were really looking forward to our meal but instead we had to throw everything out. It was disgusting, extremely spicy, and no matter how hard we tried, we were not able to figure out what exactly in our salad bowls was so spicy and inedible. Now, we both have very intelligent pallets, self proclaimed foodies; we've eaten many fully seasoned and spicy dishes. But this was DISGUSTING! Perhaps, the "young adults" working behind the counter thought it would be "funny" to make EVERYTHING super spicy and inedible, OR perhaps they were ... In any case, what isn't funny is that that I work very hard for every penny I make. This was a treat my child and I couldn't wait to share; instead, both of our meals along with my hard earned money, went...
Read moreToday my heart aches. My favorite local Mexican Grill franchise Chipotle had dreadfully failed me. Usually, after a long day of classes and stressing about being alive, I come to the one restaurant where my hunger would be satisfied, Chipotle. Exhausted and hungry I pulled up to order. To my surprise, they had closed the lane ordering option and only allowed for mobile ordering. This was no issue to me because I was no stranger to the Chipotle app as I used it religiously for quick pickups many times. After my order came out I swiftly drove home and prepared to feed the beast (my stomach lol). When I opened my bowl everything looked good, delicious, and normal. It wasn't until my first bite that I nearly lost my faith in humanity. Instead of the delicious, tender, smoked flavor of Chipotle's new limited-time-only brisket I was accustomed to, I felt something else entirely different and....strange. The meat wasn't flavorful at all, in fact, it was dry and grainy and had a weird mouth feel. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the Chipotle had served me CARNITAS (pork), instead of the brisket I am so fond of. Now I am by no means a vegetarian or a vegan so this wasn't a HUGE deal for me but my mind began to wonder, what if I did not eat pork due to religious reasons. If this were the case and I consumed pork due to the negligence of the staff this would not have been okay. And with that I leave you this review. Don't get me wrong, I still love you Chipotle, like my first kiss you will always have a special place in my heart. I'm not mad at you, just...
