As an NYC commuter, I had few opportunities to try Halal guys from their original mid town street cart. Was happy to see them opening a store in Fort Lee. We decided to stop by during off peak hours, 4pm on Saturday. When we arrived we saw the giant grand opening sign in front of the store. Inside, luckily on 4/5 people were in front of us, but the restaurant was packed. The kitchen was really crowded, everyone seemed working intensely at their task. I ordered the combo platter. I wasn’t really excited with the plain lettuce and other side options. Even when I previously tried halal guys, I didn’t like how they cook the meats without much flavor. Especially the chicken is totally blend. The white sauce is the saving grace that makes the meal somewhat flavorful. The service was pretty good. Our meal was ready within couple of minutes. At the register, I mentioned Yelp event, and the lady wrote down my name. Overall it was smooth decent experience, except the food that I have had better similar platters in other places.

You wouldn't believe how happy I was to find The Halal Guys near my hotel! Delicious. Combo gyro-falafel sandwich (HUGE) and a piece of baklava. Fast and fresh service. Carnivores and vegetarians alike will love the menu. When I saw him build my monster sandwich I thought OMG I will have some for breakfast tomorrow. I ate the whole thing. And nothing to feel guilty about. No cheese! "I woulda added the feta" but there is no cheese in the house lol ahhhh better for me anyhow. Look how friendly my man is. When I travel it's a risk not knowing how a place makes a gyro. Town visitors and residents: you can trust the quality of this restaurant. Well done šŸ‘ Pics: the flowers were outside on the sidewalk at Linwood plaza; my sandwich dude chef who made my day; gawd, I didn't want to show you my mostly eaten sandwich but I had to for it was a beautiful protein veggie experience in a world where I eat like s*** Please bring The Halal Guys to Hanahan, SC

I have always heard of Halal Guys but never tried it so here was my opportunity. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked into a packed house. The manager came and greeted me and was very nice. When it was my turn I ordered the chicken platter and white sauce on the side. They had a whole system going so it went smooth. I grabbed my food and left. When I got in I put the white sauce on the platter. Big mistake, I should of tried it first before I did so. When I tatsted it, it wasn't to my liking. The sauce was not good to me. I tried to like it but I wasn't feeling it. Let's just say I didn't eat it all.

I just moved to the area yesterday and was on the hunt for a good spot for my first dinner, and I’m so glad I found this place. It immediately caught my attention, and it did not disappoint.

First off, great bang for your buck, the ā€œregularā€ portion was incredibly generous and filling. I was welcomed in by the tall gentleman with a big, genuine smile, which instantly made me feel at ease, his name was Sabri. And Natalia then helped me through the ordering process, and despite it being late and me being a first-timer, they made me feel right at home. Never once did I feel rushed or like an outsider, even by the rest of the staff who all had nothing but smiles.

What really compelled me to write this review was this level of service. Natalia went above and beyond, she walked me through the menu, made thoughtful suggestions, and even encouraged me to try other items so I could really experience everything they had to offer. I ended up ordering more than I planned to lol and I’m glad I did, because everything was delicious.

All in all, this was such a warm, welcoming experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back (probably sooner than later). Keep up the amazing work, you’ve got something...

I was so excited to find out that a Halal Guys was opening in my town so I didn't have to go all the way to Teterboro for it. The platters here are very delicious and are what I expected from Halal Guys.

Since it's a new location, the workers are still learning how to do their jobs, so expect the line to move very slowly. Additionally, this is a small location with only 2 tables and 4 seats at the window. If you're planning on dining in, have someone grab a table.

If you're ordering through their mobile app, there is no option to add white sauce on top of your platter. There is only the option to add the extra packets, which come at an additional charge. If you want the white sauce on your food, you will have to wait in line and order there.

This location gets one star deducted because their portion sizes are very small compared to the Teterboro location. Usually, I am very full after a platter. With the Fort Lee location, the portion was so small I had to visit McDonald's after to supplement it.

Other than that, I'm very happy that they opened one here! I will probably still go to...

Not the type to write poor reviews, especially as a business owner myself, however, I had to address this. My brother insisted on getting Chipotle, and while I almost caved in, I wanted to give my brothers at Halal Guys a shot for the first time in a while (I used to frequent their stand on 53rd & 6th 15 years ago, long before they expanded and opened up store fronts).

I got a ā€œlargeā€ platter because I was starving. However, the portion I was served barely filled the container & was embarrassingly short (and I rarely complain about portion size). I do not like conflict and often find it difficult to express my discontent in situations like this one specially when I intentionally say things to indicate my discontent. I did not get to say anything in this instance because I was shocked in the worst way possible. Next time, I plan on taking heed to my brother’s advice and getting a hearty, filling bowl from Chopotle, at almost $3-$4 less ($11.41 for a Chipotle Bowl including a $.50 add on v. $14.66 for a Halal Guys platter half the size of the Chipotle Bowl) - I advise others to...
