@ericabrown132 and I are seeing @Prof at #RedRocksAmphitheater tonight, this #FairfieldInn in #littletoncolorado sure is little, but it'll do just fine. Enjoy the #hotelroomtour #hotelroom

Booked this place as I work in Denver and we normally stay at Marriott properties or Hilton, checked in online and stopped by the front desk when I arrived. Hanna the front desk person was very friendly and helpful, had a question when they tried putting a $200 gold for incidentals on my card, she said they charge $50 a night which honestly I have never had happen at a Marriott property. Also we are Gold Elite and they don’t offer free waters anymore, so go to my room and noticed a funky sour smell so thought maybe it was just something that would go away. I turned on the a/c and after about 30 minutes the smell got progressively worse. Called the front desk and Hanna switched my rooms for and was very helpful, the hotel is newer so the rooms were comfortable. The mini fridges they have are not true many fridges as I found out when I put a salad in it to stay cool and woke up the next nor and it was warm. There are buttons that you have to push and they cool the cooler for 2hrs, so I couldn’t keep anything really cold if I wanted and not great for people traveling who need to keep things cool. The other thing is that it’s extremely noisy as I could hear people up and down the halls, slamming doors, getting ice etc. the breakfast is 6:30am-9:30am and they have a pool and fitness center. And they do have a restaurant/bar also in hotel, it’s convenient right off C-470 and close to Walmart on Bellview, not many food options close by. Just remember if you have to keep stuff cold you will likely have difficulty.

Wants the Marriott bookings without giving the Marriott perks. I did a 100% mobile check-in (was issued key through the app so never had to check in at the desk) As part of my check in, I requested 4pm checkout as part of the perks of my membership tier. The late checkout was accepted and displayed in the app. Upon my checkout day, I left my room and did some exploring around Denver. When I came back at 2:30, my key had been deactivated and turns out the front desk tried to charge me for an extra night, because somehow they think they are exempt from honoring the “guaranteed” 4pm late checkout, and “dont have connection to the app” which was an odd statement considering check in was 100% through the app. I get wanting to turn rooms, but the reality is, they wouldn’t have near the bookings they do if they weren’t under the Marriott umbrella, so to not honor the perks is pretty disingenuous and bad business.

We usually like Marriott (obviously since we booked this visit). However, this experience was not as pleasant as many of the other visits. I booked this visit early - I think it was about a month early.

I even downloaded the Bonvoy app to confirm reservation, received several reminders emails of the visit. The day of our stay I checked in through the app - everything indicated that things were great - no hicups. It asked when we would like to check in... I said 3, it said it was too early so I said 4.... no problem. It said our MOBILE KEYS were on their way (assumed an email or text). Still no indication of an issue.

When we arrived the clerk at the front was very nice... I told her we checked in but didn't get the keys in an email or text. She said they were having problems with it... and did we want to put the room on the card that I had made the reservations with. I was going to say yes, but my husband said he'd use his debit card.... however, rather than the $159 price - she charged us $190. I told her that I had booked EARLY that it was the lesser rate... she said, NO PROBLEM... I WILL HAVE OUR MANAGER FIX THAT AND CALL YOU.... SHE GAVE US CLAIRE THEROX CARD.

NEVER HEARD FROM CLAIRE, SO WE CALLED HER. SHE SAID, " THE CARD YOU BOOKED WITH WAS DECLINED AND YOU GOT THE STANDARD RATE" - I SAID NO, THAT EVERYTHING HAD BEEN CONFIRMED ON THE APP AND ONLINE, THAT I GOT REMINDER EMAILS AND NOTHING WAS AMISS.

SHE SAID WE DON'T HAVE TO LET YOU KNOW, WE DON'T HAVE TO INFORM YOU..... AND SHE REPEATEDLY SAID IT IS ON THE HONOR SYSTEM... IT IS ON THE HONOR SYSTEM.... IT IS ON THE HONOR SYSTEM.

I am not sure what that means. I took it as to mean that it was just too bad that your company doesn't have to tell the people that booked a stay that there is any issue.

I never got an indication from my credit card that there was an issue.

I find it strange that I kept receiving CONFIRMATION emails and reminders to check in, even the app permitted us to check in WITHOUT ANY INDICATION THERE WAS AN ISSUE.

And that the front desk girl who acted like this was a common occurrence, would have her MANAGER CLAIRE THEROUX fix the price and make the adjustment.

I realized that it is just $30, it is more how Claire kept saying IT IS ON THE HONOR SYSTEM (what does that mean?) and was so abrupt. Didn't make us feel very welcome or happy...

This by far has been the worst stay I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. My first night when I got into my room, there was no soap, toilet tissue and towels it was completely empty. So I went down to the front desk and explain to them the situation. I was given a trash bag with a couple towels shoved into it and was told that they would sending by room service tomorrow to follow up with the room so I was like OK thank you. The next day Comes and I go back into my room that evening to see my room hasn’t been clean our updated with any towels or soaps and tissue. I call down to the front desk and a woman answered so I explain to her the situation and asked, why didn’t they come by to clean or bring my family more towels that we were missing.she rudely responded by saying if you want something you have to come down and get it we don’t do door-to-door service and I responded that’s fine I just wanted to know why we still haven’t received anything in our room That I requested that we were missing and she Rudely responded is because everybody wants to be with their family today for New Year’s Eve and nobody’s working. I said OK so do you think they’re going to come by tomorrow? she rudely respond it saying probably not gonna be anybody here until Monday and I said OK so what do I do until then , she got real defensive and even more rude and threatening and said if I keep being rude and mouthing off she will kick my family and I out right now it’s my choice. I just hung up the phone I wasn’t trying to get my 80 year old mom and I kicked out on New Year’s Eve. It’s very frustrating and I hav two days left here. I’m heading to the front desk to ask if I could get me next two day refunded so I can...
