Taos Valley RV is a pretty, perfectly maintained CG, and the ideal spot for exploring the surrounding area. Making our reservation online couldn’t have been easier, and upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly owners, RVers themselves who can offer a plethora of useful information about the area (which they have condensed into a helpful area info sheet) and in general, after FTing themselves for a number of years. Campsites are a variety of shapes and sizes and include FHU, W/E, and dry camping options, and while the spacing is consistent with many commercial campgrounds, this park has a lot of nice landscaping and an interesting lay-out that makes it big-rig friendly while offering the feel of a natural setting with some privacy and plenty of room to walk a dog. Our site was FHU/50amp, and our utilities were easy to reach and worked perfectly during our stay (including a frost-free spigot). Our site was relatively level and long enough for access to our garage. The WiFi worked fine, and Verizon worked OK, though the booster helped. They also allow package delivery along with the amenities of a bathhouse, laundry, and dump/fill station. We really enjoyed our week-long stay here, but that wasn’t nearly enough time so...
Read moreWe just spent 4 nights at Taos Valley RV Park and really enjoyed it! Elena, one of the owners, is so pleasant and was happy to talk with us about what to see in the area. The park is really pretty and well kept with very natural landscaping. There are a number site types to accommodate Class A rigs all the way down to tents. I saw it mentioned in another review that the park is a bit tight. Our rig is a total of 53 feet (trailer and truck), and we maneuvered with no issues. One item I will point out that wasn't my favorite.......the sites alternate directions, so your RV door is facing the neighbor's door, thus basically sharing the outdoor space. It's not ideal for privacy. We didn't have an issue other than making sure our dog and their dog didn't react to each other. All of the hook-ups worked perfectly, and terrific water pressure! This really is a great park to explore Taos from. Enchanted Circle Drive. San Francisco de Asis church. Taos Ski Resort. Taos Cow Ice Cream. World Cup Coffee. Lots of local shops and restaurants. And don't forget the pretty...
Read moreI would have given it 5 stars, but they charge a “user fee” to use a credit card, for the week, we were charged $8.75. This was not mentioned to me when making reservations or checking in. It is written on the bottom of the invoice, which I failed to read until we checked out. My bad! It rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, this is a great park! Location, location, location. We were lucky enough to get a spot in the “back” where there was a lot of privacy and since there weren’t a lot of other campers we didn’t have anyone next to us. Our site was fairly level, gravel, and we had a patio and picnic table. They have great WiFi and Verizon worked well. The location is within a few minutes of historic Santa Fe. Bathrooms were very clean, the dressing rooms were a little tight, but adequate. Laundry room was clean; there are 4 washers and 3 dryers, $1.50 for each. We were lucky that we woke up to about 4 inches snow one morning. The park had a magically quality to it. By noon, the snow was gone. . We would definitely stay at the park again, but...
