Orange Lake Resort West Village — Hotel in Four Corners

Overall I was hugely disappointed with my experience. I was so excited to stay in the west village based on the pools having zero entry for my 2 year old. Turns out, the pool by my room was similar to a pool you would expect at Motel 6, and also no zero entry. I was seriously stunned when I walked up to it as I hadn't seen it in any of the photos online. Found out the pool in the photo on the website was over a mile away from my room, which is not ideal with a 2 year old. They have shuttles, but again, not ideal with small children. In addition to that, my room was located near the highway, and you could hear the sirens and ambulances ALL NIGHT. We didn't sleep through even one night without being woken up. Truly so disappointing. I just looked through the website searching for evidence of the pool near our room, I didn't see anything depicting the pool we had, which is not surprising since it doesn't look like anything a resort would have.

I read a ton of reviews before I came, and most said that they are aggressive with the time share pitch. That was accurate, and it honestly ruined my first day there because the guy just would NOT take no for an answer. I even told them they have negative reviews for being so aggressive and he asked what he could bribe me with to go to a sale pitch. Just wasn't the best start of the trip.

I will say the main pool was beautiful and the food/drinks were good. If my room had been anywhere walkable to the pool, my stay would've probably been completely different. Just overall so disappointed as I would have never booked this knowing I wouldn't be anywhere...

The property pools and amenities were okay but I’m highly disappointed in our room. We had a one bedroom unit inside the check in area. These rooms probably haven’t been updated in at least 15 years. There was a strange smell in our room and a large stain on the carpet. The toilet ran all hours of the day/night and the sink in the kitchen was slow to drain. The refrigerator door opened from right to left making it awkward and inconvenient to open from where it was positioned in the room next to the wall. You can also hear noise from the hallway and other rooms. Our first night there I could hear a child crying from another room.

Two different mornings, there were people sleeping downstairs in the atrium area. They were asleep on the benches. The first morning I saw a guy sleeping I assumed maybe he just drank a little too much and forgot where his room was. The next morning, two different people were sleeping downstairs. Multiple employees walked past them and didn’t say anything. I mentioned it to the front desk and they didn’t seem surprised

There is no business center in west village. You can use the downstairs area and plug in next to the plants if you have some work to do but you might wake up sleeping people on the benches lol.

River Island was nice. While we didn’t see any rooms over there, the pool area is clean and updated. The pools at West Village are okay. Water was a bit cloudy but not too bad (could have been due to rain?).

Orange Lake Resort was a wonderful week long experience for our family. We stayed at Orange lake west and our condos had been newly renovated. They were amazing! Orange Lake has three different main/commons areas where there are excellent pools, arcades, putt-putt and restaurants/snack shacks. We went to all three on different days and were impressed with all three. Orange Lake is a HUGE resort, so be prepared to drive unless your condo happens to be next to one of the main/commons areas. No drive should be further than 2 miles within the resort though. Also, they have a shuttle than runs every 15mins from dozens of designated spots around the resort. People told us about long check in lines to get in and long sales pitches, but we did not experience any of that. The grounds were very well taken care of, the people who work there are very friendly for the most part and the proximity to Disney can not be beat. We will for sure be back in...
